The second the female voice came through the receiver, Sean flew into a blind rage. He lunged at me in an instant, one hand clamping tightly around my wrist while the other snatched for my phone. "Elora, have you lost your mind?!" His eyes blazed red, the veins on his forehead bulging sharply. "How dare you call her? Do you really trust me that little?" He slammed the phone hard onto the floor, ending the call. Ignoring the sharp throbbing pain in my wrist, I stared at the still-lit screen and memorized the string of numbers. "I don't trust you?" I twisted free of his grip, my voice trembling with suppressed fury. "Sean, you're the one who pushed me to this! You talk about Sloane nonstop, calling her your gal pal, yet you don't have a single trace of her contact info on your phone
