Leticia and Yolanda #1
Two nine-year-old best friends up in their shared tree house.
“Hey guess what.” said Yolanda.
“What is it, you know I hate guessing.” Leticia responded.
“Look what I got us.” Yolanda pulled a small velvet jewelry bag from her pocket, “I asked my dad to get us something to share as best friends.
She emptied the small velvet bag which contained two bracelets with a half heart shaped locket on each.
“Wow these are beautiful.” Leticia said as Yolanda gave her one.
“If we put the half hearts together, they make a complete heart. Yours has my name and I have yours.” Yolanda explained to her best friend.
“Thank you, Yolanda. I love you so much.” Leticia hugged Yolanda who hugged her back.
“You are welcome, Leticia. Promise me you will be my best friend forever.”
