I want to enjoy the sunset with everyone else on the beach, but I can’t. I offered to cook supper, so I must get to it. I get up and fold my blanket.
“Where are you off too?” Nate looks at me with a curious expression on his face.
“I must get food ready. You guys still want to eat right?”
“Yesss we do, these guys ruined lunch for us.” Angie comes in.
“I know right. Babe do you need help?” Suzie asks.
I shake my head, it’s alright. You guys just stay here and enjoy yourselves. I will cook better without any distractions.” I smile.
“You sure you don’t need any help?” Nate asks.
“Yep, you guys stay here. You can freshen up before supper if you like.” I shrug.
“Okay cool, see you in a bit.” He winks at me.
