Chapter 12“He twitched, I saw it!” blurted Mondo. “Come on, Carter, wake up!”
The hopeful pleas filled Carter’s ears. The blackness in his vision slowly faded into color, then shapes, then faces. Mondo was up close with Fizzy over his shoulder. She fanned Carter with a large circuit board. Once Carter’s vision fully returned, he blinked a few times. He was sitting on the futon in the lab.
“Welcome back!” exclaimed Mondo. “You had us worried, buddy!” Fizzy threw the circuit board behind her and cupped her hands over her mouth with relief.
“Everybody okay?” groaned Carter.
“Yeah, we’re good. How do you feel? Should we… call someone for you?”
