Decker’s last words before cutting the radio echoed through Mondo’s mind, as he and Carter quickly made their way back to Seifer’s room.
The anarchy had become more prevalent throughout the hospital. As they ran past different computer stations, the code-screen seeped across every monitor. Its wavelengths stretched from screen to screen and gave the feeling of tentacles that reached and spread through the building like a digital kraken monster. The lights and power in the building flickered erratically. Announcements echoed through the PA system in the halls as some staff called for additional help, likely due to equipment issues with the rolling blackouts. The hospital had become a nightmare of chaos and urgency.
