Chapter 32It was odd that Mondo had barely opened the front door of their house for Tina and then rushed into the garage before she could see him. She made her way through the house to the closed garage door. The door to the lab barely cracked open after Tina knocked. Mondo suspiciously peeked at her from inside. “Are you alone?” he asked. “Yeah. Carter can’t make it yet.” “But are you alone-alone?” She didn’t understand. Mondo opened the door anyway. He stood there with a six-foot tall staff in his hand. It looked like a metal pole fastened with circuit boards, wires, gadgets, and other assorted electronic insanity. “Scanning subject for anomalies,” he announced.
