"Elle, you should go have fun with Jason, I don't want to tag along." I said, trying to convince Elle.
The night was cold and my roommate, Elle still insisted we go clubbing. I had no interest and tried to convince her to go with just her boyfriend, Jason. I got to know Jason these past few weeks and we hung out quite a number of times because Elle always insisted hanging out with them aids getting along faster. I often got irritated being a third wheel.
Don't get me wrong, Elle is sweet and friendly but she loves being in the company of people I don't exactly fancy. I consider Jason lucky having an extremely sweet and pretty girl like Elle but dammit, he's never gonna enjoy his 'alone time' with Elle's constant demand for attention and being together always.
During these past weeks, I had been seeing Mark and Ashton in classes. Mark and I got along really well and we've gotten pretty close and Ash is still the annoying jerk he had always been. We attacked each other at any slight opportunity.
"No, you're coming with us." Elle replied.
"Stop being a loner with earphones plugged in all day." she continued.
"I'm not a loner!"
"Get up and let's get you something nice to wear." she said while walking towards my closet.
I put my head in my hands knowing I couldn't win against Elle. Gosh sometimes, I hate this girl!
"No, this doesn't look club-worthy, you can't go in this." she groaned, tossing a turquoise blue ball dress whose length is just above my knee on my bed. This was the sixth dress she tossed on the bed saying wasn't "Club-worthy".
"Elle, if the next dress you bring out of that closet still isn't what you call a club worthy dress then I sure as hell wouldn't be leaving this room going to a stupid club with you!" I retorted.
"Last one, last one, I promise. I'll bring out a perfect dress." she replied, giving me a pleading look.
I glared at her wondering what exactly she wanted me to put on when she squealed with joy as she pulled out a short, red strappy dress.
If looks could kill, she'd probably be 6feet under already.
"Amy, I found it. This is it! You're going in this. I swear, you'll look so cute and sexy in it." she leaped in excitement.
I rolled my eyes at her and she just shrugged. It was the dress my step mom gifted me on my last birthday. I had never worn it because it looked so slutty. I couldn't reject it because it was a gift and I didn't want her to feel bad so it had always been in my closet at home. I brought it along with me because she helped in packing and when she saw it lying in my closet, she asked if I didn't like it. Of course, I lied that I did and now it's here.
"Don't even think about it, I'm not going in that." I said quickly.
"Amy it's so pretty, it's the perfect one."
"No."
"Amelia, I promise you wouldn't regret it" She replied giving me the puppy face. Damn, no one rejects Elle's puppy face.
"Okay, okay." I said, giving in.
"When are we leaving?"
"As soon as I'm done with our make up. Jason's on his way" She replied.
"What!" I yelled.
"You didn't even mention it before now."
"Sorrryyyyy" She said, giggling.
After about 15 minutes, she was done with my make up and hair. She styled my hair in a big bun and looked at me with satisfaction before motioning for me to go put on my dress. She did her make up in ten minutes and was about putting on her very short shiny white dress when we heard a honk which we knew was from Jason's car. She put on the dress quickly making sure her make up didn't smear or stain the dress. We both decided match our dress with silver heels and dashed out of the room immediately. As soon as Jason saw us coming, he came out of the car.
"Babe, so sorry we kept you waiting." Elle said, kissing him on the lips. Jason deepened the kiss and I felt the need to remind them of my presence.
"Get a room you guys!" I yelled at them. They both laughed and we made our way to the car.
"You look hot, Amy." Jason said to me.
"But my babe's way hotter." he continued.
I smiled and hit him lightly.
"Told ya you'd look so hot" Elle chipped in, swatting my arm.
"Get away from me ma'am" I laughed, pulling away from her.
Loud music could be heard as soon as we got to the club. Jason parked in the lot and we got down and made our way inside. We could see group of people outside mostly in twos. Some of them were making out intensely. I almost gagged at the irritation. The smell of weed and alcohol caught my nose as soon as we got in. The entire place reeked of alcohol and sweaty teenagers. We went to a corner and sat down. Jason decided to go get us drinks and Elle was obviously enjoying the view.
"Tonic water for me, extra lime please." I said to Jason.
"Got it."
Elle requested for a glass of Margarita and Jason kissed her on the lips before dashing off.
"Amy, the fun's about to begin!" She yelled through the loud music.
Jason returned with the drinks and handed them over to us. I gulped mine down almost immediately and I felt a burning sensation in my throat.
"Jason, what was in the drink you brought? It doesn't taste like gin and tonic."
"s**t, you took my drink. That's a strong alcohol. It's called the Scorpion's tail." he said.
I shook my head laughing. Elle looked at me with concern.
"Are you okay?" she asked.
"That's an expensive joke, Jason" I said while laughing.
"You couldn't have given me the spider's head or whatever the f**k you just called it" I continued, looking directly into his eyes....shooting daggers at him.
"Amy, I'm so sorry I gave you the wrong drink. I didn't mean to but it's just rum and cognac and maybe juice as well." He said with not much of a concern.
"How could you be so careless?" Elle asked staring down at him.
She turned to me looking worried.
"Are you okay Amy?" she asked again.
"How the f**k do you expect me to be okay when your boyfriend just watched me down a strong liquor knowing my alcohol tolerance?" I yelled at her.
"You'll be fine, let's just go home." She said giving me an apologetic look.
"I need to use the restroom, we'll leave after I get back." I replied, walking away.
"Let me come with you."
"No, stay back."
I walked down a narrow hallway looking for a restroom. I could feel how vulnerable I was already. My sight was getting blurry and I regretted coming alone. I shouldn't have stopped Elle from coming with when she offered to. I opened a door and saw two figures standing close to the door. From their voices, I could tell they were men.
"Sorry." I apologized realizing I walked into the male restroom. I was about closing the door when one of them pulled me in.
"Sexy little princess." he said, putting his hand under my dress. Another wave of regret filled me for yielding to Elle's plea regarding the dress.
"Get your filthy hands off me!" I spat in his face. He gave me a scorn look and wiped his face angrily. I looked up at him and saw him looking back at me with rage. He brought his fist and punched me hard in the face. I yelped out loud. My head started to ache from the pain and scream I let out.
"Shut your mouth, little slut." He said trying to cover my mouth with his palms. I bit his hand hard and he released his grip on me. I tried running but the other guy pulled me by the hair and my eyes that were shutting close fluttered open. I screamed again in pain and I was certain my head was spinning already. I struggled to get away from him and kneed him in the groin. He groaned loudly and I could swear I heard my jaw snap in two from the first guy's reckless punch. I fell at the impact. My eyes were brimming with tears and I let out a shrill cry.
"Would you open your legs willingly, little princess or you still want to make it harder on yourself?" One of them said and I felt the need to kick him. I did but my already weak legs barely made an impact.
"Stubborn bitch." he spat and forcefully split my legs open. I was about giving up when the door burst open. I could see the silhouette of a figure walk in. I couldn't tell who it was but he grabbed the guy on top of me by the collar and began beating the living s**t out of him. He punched him till he was unconscious and the other guy ran out.
He carried me bridal style out of the restroom and I couldn't help but think of him as my hero.
I looked up at him but all I could see was blurriness. "Thank you" was the last thing I said before darkness enveloped me.
