Nincompoop

Ashton's POV I sprinted towards him and choked him on the neck. He struggled within my violent grip but unfortunately for him I didn't budge. He looked at me with pleading eyes and I gave him a smug look daring him to repeat what he just said. "What the f**k are you doing?" I heard Amelia scream. "Get away from him!" Mark said scowling. I could hear the bastard's girlfriend screaming at me to get my hands off him while she was hitting me on my back repeatedly. I didn't flinch and Liam was struggling to breathe already. "Leave him the f**k alone!" Amelia said again but this time she was standing so close to me. She pushed Hailey to the ground and attempted to scare me with her gaze. I found it funny but was in no mood to laugh. "Don't you dare do that ever again." I said to Liam gritting my teeth in the process. He nodded almost immediately. "I asked you to leave him the f**k alone." Amelia said s******g me such that my behind was on fire. I released my grip on Liam and he fell to the ground groaning. God, where did Amy learn to do that? If I were her, I wouldn't be doing this because it sure was spiking my hormones in ways it shouldn't. I turned to look at her and gave her an irritating look. "Are you aware of what you just did?" I asked and she turned to leave. I grabbed her by the wrist to stop her from leaving and she rolled her eyes. A habit I now knew she does regularly whenever she disapproved of something. "Would you be able to bear the consequences of your action?" I asked again raising my eyebrows at her. "I'm not in for your stupid jokes." She said rather too calmly. "But I wasn't joking." I replied, letting go of her wrist and she walked away quickly. I looked towards Stacey that hadn't said a word ever since. She folded her arms across her chest and it was obvious she was pissed. I ignored her and walked past her. Now I felt stupid doing what I did. It wasn't even any of my business. ********************** "I'm really scared babe." Stacey said for the umpteenth time today. She had an appointment with the doctor and demanded I came with her. It's been close to two hours we sat in the waiting room hoping for the doctor to come call on us. All through the time we had been waiting, Stacey had been singing in my ears about how scared she was and not letting go of my hand. "The doctor's just gonna check how well the baby's developing so just calm the f**k down." I said to her angrily. "Stacey Wesley, you can come right in." the doctor said to us finally. The moment we got into the room, the smell of chemicals filled my nose and I scrunched up my nose in disgust. The doctor introduced herself as Dr Kelly and told Stacey about how she has to guide her all through the pregnancy because she was quite young. "You must be the father." She said smiling at me and I just nodded in response. She turned towards Stacey and asked her to lie on the bed. "I'll be doing a sonogram to check on the developing baby and then show you the beginning of the growth." she said grabbing the tools. Apparently, Stacey was six weeks in. She showed us the monitor and we saw a tiny figure on the screen. I looked at the screen smiling and I felt my heart tug in delight. Stacey rubbed small circles around my palm and I felt guilty I paid her very little attention the past few weeks. Afterall, she was carrying my baby. I squeezed her hand gently and she smiled at me bending her head down to kiss the back of my hand. I couldn't help but remember when we were still very much in love. After about twenty five minutes, we were done with the whole process. The doctor asked us to visit the hospital regularly for check ups and demanded we call her if we had any problem. We left the hospital and Stacey glued to me like a magnet. Clingy! Exactly what I hated. I imagined Amelia in her position and a smile formed on my lips. I shook the thought away and focused on driving. We still had classes so we headed straight to school after the appointment. "You didn't cause a ruckus at your party because of Valdez, did you?" Stacey asked and I could feel her eyes on me. She developed a habit of referring to Amelia by her last name and I didn't like it much. When she noticed I wasn't going to say anything, she yelled. "Ashton James Knight, stop f*****g ignoring me!" She called me by my full name only when she was angry. I ignored her still and gazed at the road concentrating on driving. I parked at the school lot on arriving at school. Stacey complained about being dizzy asking me to carry her. "Cut the crap Stacey! I know you feel just fine so just get off." "Okay, okay" She said putting her hands up in surrender. She got down and stayed glued to my side. "Aww ouw" she cried. "What?" I asked feeling frustrated. "I think I sprained my ankle." She cried again. I bent down to look at her ankle and it looked just fine to me. "Stacey, I asked you to-" My words were left hanging when she hugged me tight sobbing. I hugged her back rubbing her back to comfort her. "Shhh it's okay" I said to her. "You're going to be fine. We're in this together." I soothed. She nodded sniffing. I looked up and locked eyes with Amelia. She averted her gaze immediately and looked down at her phone typing away. I chuckled knowing fully well it was an act. "Amelia." I called and she attempted to walk past us. I stood in her way and yanked the phone away from her. "Hey asshole, give me back my phone!" she yelled. "Let's see what you're so busy with Cupcake." I said raising the phone up and looking through it. Of course it was all an act. Amy was on the calendar app which I'm sure she mistakenly clicked on as soon as she saw me. She tried grabbing the phone to no avail and I found it amusing. I forgot Stacey was behind me until she yanked the phone away from me as soon as I hid it behind. "Stacey, give it back." I said to her sternly. "Oops, I think it fell off my hand." she said dropping the phone on the ground. "Holy s**t!" I tried picking it up and she stomped on it. "Oww my bad! I think I just walked on it." she said smirking. "Mistakenly" she finished, placing her hands on her chest and faking hurt. "Crazy b***h!" Amelia yelled storming towards her. Fuck! Stacey was violent so I stopped Amy from touching her. Amy was violent also and I couldn't take the risk of them pouncing on each other. Not when Stacey was carrying my baby. I wouldn't forgive myself if anything happened to the child. "Amelia, I'm so sorry." "We can just go get another one." I said to her quickly to avoid them both from causing a scene. "You must be crazy to think getting me a new one would restore the phone your bitchy girlfriend destroyed!" she screamed at me. "Amy please." I pleaded. She tucked her hair behind her ears, giving me a cold stare. Her long legs strode towards me elegantly. Damn she looked so good on her blue tie waist shirt dress. "You're getting me twice the price of my phone." she said poking me hard in the chest. I smiled staring back at her. "Are you saying you needed a bigger phone and you're grateful to Stacey for smashing your phone?" "How can someone be so lucky?" I continued and I could tell she was getting pissed much more to my amusement. "You're a cocky bastard." "A freaking nincompoop" she hissed. "We have to be somewhere Ashton so let's just get the hell outta here!" Stacey said to me raising her voice. "You've got no choice but to go alone. I'm going with Amelia." I replied. "Cupcake wait up." I jogged towards Amy. She looked back mouthing "Go to hell!" I chuckled and motioned for her to get in my blue Audi R8 sitting in the parking lot. She walked towards the car hesitating a bit before getting in and slamming the door behind her. I shook my head sliding into the driver's seat. We sat in silence till we got to a phone store. After frantically parading the store for about 35minutes, Amy was able to settle for 'HTC wildfire X' whose screen was about 6.2inches. I paid for it with my credit card and we made our way out of the store. "Thank you." she said fiddling with the sleeve of her shirt dress. I still couldn't get used to Amy saying "thank you". This was her second. "What?" I asked. "You heard me asshole." she muttered sauntering towards the car. "Your first was much more cooler." I said. "What?" she asked absently. "The first time you thanked me was way more better than this." I replied. She walked towards me sniffing my breath. "You don't seem drunk. I wonder what's making you utter crap" "The night at the club." She looked at me wide eyed, clasping both hands on her mouth completely shocked. "You're out of your mind." she sauntered backwards and ran off. A/N: Oops! A short chapter, I know. I'll make up for it in Amelia's POV. Don't forget to click on that little star at the left bottom of your screen. Your votes keep cheering me on.
