As promised, the principal had given letters to Chad and Danny for their emergency discussion meeting so they could resolve the issue of their children. Chad’s mother was very furious when she read the content of the letter.
“ You have spent three years in that school peacefully. Then all of a sudden you started hanging out with those hoodlums, Ben and his friends and the next thing I know you’re getting yourself into fights here as there. Haven’t I warned you several times not to associate with those people ? Haven’t I?” She raved.
“ mom this has nothing to do with Ben, okay? Saint was insulting me so I got even” he defended.
“ You just be happy that your father is not here to see this. He’ll be so mad at you when he gets back. For now, go to your room. I’ll see your principal tomorrow.”
The next few days had passed on well for Chad without many events unfolding . It was almost as if he had his old life back.
Chad then g he didn’t need to lie so often. He told one lie and had to tell a hundred more to cover up and it really sucked. His mother had begun to ask if the game He was supposed to have repaired. The same game that earned Ben’s dad the award for the coolest dad of the season. He felt so stupid. He had just let Ben use him for nothing and now he was on the verge of getting into trouble with his parents if he wasn’t able to give reasonable explanation for it. He thought of what to say for a while then told his mother that the game fixer said the screen needed to be changed but he hadn’t been able to find a replacement for it.
“ Then bring the game home and let it stay here until he finds the screen.” His mother had replied. “ I don’t want him telling us stories in the end. That game must be returned in one piece or I will go to him myself. How am I even sure he hasn’t repaired it and started using it?”
“ okay mom,” he said just do he could escape that day. Chad took his bag pack and hurried out of the house to Ben’s house. It was where the clique was going to meet that day . When he got there he was warmly welcomed as always. He need some of the boys there already playing with the Nintendo game.......... To Be Continued
