"Yes," I say loudly, mustering up all my courage to not let Dexter have the satisfaction of seeing my fear. "I did attack Dexter." There was gasps and then silence. I could feel my mate stepping closer but I stepped forward once more, putting space between us. "See!" Shouted Dexter, "treason and you know what that means!" His voice echoed as he stepped forward but Nathan growled behind me and Dexter retreated. "Why did you attack Dexter?" Asked the King, his question, causing Dexter's head to snap in his direction, "Why does it matter!?" I could see how on edge Dexter had become, "silence Dexter!
