I can hear someone come in to the room. No one knocked on the door. The footsteps were heavy so I knew it wasn't my mother. I keep my eyes closed as the foot steps get closer. I can feel the bed dip down, they are sitting on the bed right next to me. I can feel their breath near my ear. They are so close to me right now.
"Don't worry little one, soon you will be with me. No matter the cost."
