Nora almost missed it,themansion appeared through the trees just before dawn, the rain had softened to a drizzle, leaving a thin mist hanging between the trees. Her clothes were damp, her hair stuck to her face, and every muscle in her body ached from running, She had stopped asking how much farther, one thing she was scared of was the answer. Kieran had been quite all through every now and then, he glanced over his shoulder to make sure she was still there.

THE ALPHA, she couldn't get those words out of her head and yet she was following the Alpha anyway, everything made no sense then again, nothing about her life made sense anymore.

Kieran was unusually quite then he stopped, Nora walked into him

He pointed ahead, She looked, the mansion rose from the mist it was enormous not beautiful in the warm, welcoming sense of the word beautiful in the way a storm could be beautiful dark stone walls, tall narrow windows black iron balconies, two enormous towers reached toward the gray sky, their peaks disappearing into the mist, the entire place looked ancient older than the city older than anything Nora had ever seen, she stared.

Nora blinked, twenty-three?At the moment, He continued walking, she followed, you know, every answer you give me somehow creates three more questions, they reached the gates, they opened without anyone touching them, Nora stopped, how did they open without touching it, kieran said, they sensed us, in her entire life she had never seen anything like this.

While they continued walking,two men stood on either side, they were dressed in black,both lowered their heads when Kieran approached and said Alpha, the word sounded strange coming from them.

One of the men looked at her, his eyes widened then he immediately looked down Nora noticed. She turned to Kieran, why did he look down, that’s because he recognized you and everyone here knows who you are so just get used to it.
