What's wrong with that guy?
Yesterday he was just like an alpha waiting to devour its prey and now he's like a friendly cub, more talkative and calmer sitting beside me and I can't help but to get uneasy. Pshh...does he have a bipolar disease?
You couldn't believe what had happened earlier this morning.
| FLASHBACK |
I was typically walking in the front yard of the school heading to my first sub which happens to be my major, early headache. I was busy thinking about someone and it happens that that someone was now walking besides me unexpectedly. What a surprise, tsk. I just continued walking straightly with my chin a little bit up like an old fashioned women, y'know it.
"Good morning there, milady." Louisse greeted me with a sweet smile whilst keeping up to my pace. Oh, he's not smirking now. The world must have been twisted for a couple of seconds. Tsss.
"Likewise, Mr. Moretti." I replied with a slight nod as I continued walking wherein he just smirked at it, must have been thinking that I'm unbelievable and that there is still people living with formality in the 21st century. Welcome to my life then.
"You and your norms, tss." He smirked whilst shaking his head playfully.
"Is there something wrong with that?—" I raised my brows not getting affected but instead raising an aura with dominance for him to get the message that
"No, no... it's just that... it's so unusual for teens like you to not get influenced by modernization and it's never been a bad thing where in fact it's kinda interesting." He replied with slight conviction. I don't know if his teasing or serious about this nonetheless he's quite showing interest now eh?
"Like what kind of interesting? The kinda drooling in the middle of history class? Oh yeah, it's interesting to get into detention probably." I replied sarcastically.
"Ha.ha.ha. Good joke, you have there Ms. Miller." He chuckled lightly.
"I'm not joking tho." I replied plainly, he's simply playing with me. What a surprise, he's digging into conversations now. The world was permanently twisted.
"Fine, milady. Zip." He said while zipping his mouth with a hand gesture. From there, we made it to our first sub's room and he even sat to my side now. He, sure has full of surprises.
| END OF FLASHBACK |
So yeah, I'm still enduring my awkwardness towards him while he, on the other hand, just acting freely like were so close for so long years. I can't take his irritating confidence.
Ohh.. I almost forgot the presentation later luckily I had managed to send Mr. Haux a message to deliver at me my outfit for this one and he might be here in a minute now. I know it 'cause he's that ever supportive at me since then. My voice wasn't that much ready but then, let's just see what I can do. Just a minute after I sent it, the classes had already started.
"Nervous for later?" Louisse said nonchalantly whilst focusing his attention in front.
"How'd you know?" I asked not giving a damn about it.
"Your sections is next to present from ours, Mrs. Heatherman told us to watch every plays for the sake of our grades, tsk." He replied and I just nodded after.
"But surely I would never be bored watching later for I can see you perform later, milady." He said with a smile as he look at me.
"Tsk, stop with your infamous flattery words, not affected." I said plainly with my face still impassive while sitting straight not bothering his remarks.
He just chuckled while he put his hands up gesturing that he surrender already, of course being sarcastic.
Couple of hours and we're done for the major sub.
"You can go now." Our prof said sternly.
We stood up leaving the room one by one. And as went out, Louisse said something from behind.
"Goodluck for later, milady." He said with a wink as we departed ways. I need to head over first from where Mr. Haux is for my outfit later. I walked in a fast pace for were only given the whole lunch break to prepare.
Couple of minutes of walking, I reached the entrance of our school's main building unto where Mr. Haux is waiting.
"Here it is, young madam. It's a surprise that you forgot your important things right now." He said while handing me my stuffs.
"I'm sorry about it Mr. Haux, I don't know either. Maybe it's part of maturity eh?" I reasoned. Its true, maybe because I've been thinking a lot lately.
"Thanks for this Mr. Haux, I'll keep going now for I only had a short time to prepare. See ya later." I chirped while slowly walking away and he just gives me a slight nod as a reply.
Again, I'm semi-running heading unto the theatre room. Luckily, they are still busy setting up and we still have 30 minutes to prepare. I heaved a sigh of relief, thanks God. I remember...why am I rushing? My part is in the ending. Self? Are you retarded right now?
I made it and I don't feel like having a lunch right now for everybody's spedding up her and there, getting ready for the play later. I'm currently sitting in front of a light mirror preparing myself too. Of course, I should look presentable so that I'll not ruin my surname's reputation.
I put on a light make-up, I'm not the center of attraction in the play so might as well keep it lowkey. Just a foundation and concealer to hid my growing eye bags, then fixing my brows and putting some maskara to enlighten my thick long lashes. And to finish it all up with pink blush powder for my cheeks to leave it some pinkish glow and lipstick for my soft lips. I leave my long silky black hair falling freely unto my sides.
Now I'm all done, I'll just wait for the signal to wear my dress later.
"Wow Evoughny, you look so stunning right now. Of course, your always beautiful everyday but right now is just so hypnotizing." Merida, our play's script writer complimented me whilst I just nodded with a sweet smile mouting 'thank you' at here.
"By the way, the play is now starting, you should get dressed up now." She added informing me with a sweet smile.
"Sure thing." I replied and stood up to get my dress hanging from the corner while she walked away informing everybody.
I went through to the dressing room to put on my long white backless dress with a long slit unto my right leg.
I walked out to look for my white stilettos and as I'm in the verge of looking, there's a familiar voice spoke behind me.
"Looking for this?" He asked, I turned around as I knew it was Ark waving my shoes in his hands.
"So, you have an interest on high heels now?" I raised my brow at him as I'm a bit irritated because he tampers with my stuff and that's what I dislike the most.
"Aww...milady is annoyed right now," he pouted while he grabbed my shoulders and dragged me behind which makes me taken aback.
He pushed me down, making me sit in my dresser's chair while he knelt down unto my toes while dusting my right foot and lifting it to put on my right shoe and did the same thing to my other foot. He stood up and held out his hand to me.
Me was like, what the hell just happened? Does he got problems or is he picking up with me. It'll be rude of me to not take his hands so I did, assisting me to stood up. He looked at me from he head to foot making me uneasy.
"You looked beautiful milady." He whispered while looking straight unto my eyes. He leaned over breaking the distance between us.
"Break a leg." He added as he kissed me in the cheek and walked away after. I was left dumbfounded standing straight unto my track and just brought back to reality when Merida called me for it will be my part next.
I went through the piano and sat there waiting for my turn. By the time the spotlight was focused on me, I started to press the first key of the song....
[ I always needed time on my own.... ]
I started to sing my heart's out while the main characters of the play continued their part as the story's revolving to the tragic story of the girl main character.
[ I never thought I'd
Need you there when I cry
And the days feel like years when I'm alone
And the bed where you lie
Is made up on your side.... ]
Wherein her love of her life is slowly dying in her arms cause of an illness that is incurable and that there's nothing she can do with it for they are just poor and needy.
[When you walk away
I count the steps that you take
Do you see how much I need you right now?]
They can't seek help to their families because their love is forbidden, the family of the boy didn't accept the girl because she's the daughter of their worst enemy their memories flashbacked unto the screen.
[When you're gone
The pieces of my heart are missin' you
When you're gone
The face I came to know is missin', too
When you're gone
The words I need to hear
To always get me through the day
And make it okay
I miss you
We were made for each other
Out here forever
I know we were
Yeah, yeah
And all I ever wanted was for you to know
Everything I do, I give my heart and soul
I can hardly breathe; I need to feel you here with me
Yeah
When you're gone
The pieces of my heart are missin' you
When you're gone
The face I came to know is missin', too
When you're gone
The words I need to hear
Will always get me through the day
And make it okay
I miss you....]
I played the ending key with much passion as the boy main character died as the ending of the story, they acted it wonderfully. I never felt this again since that day and it really suited my craving to play the piano part.
The audience went in silence making up with their tears as we managed to put a dramatic end to our play. I could say we ended it successfully. All we could here was the huge applause from the crowd.
I stood up and head over to the front because we're all invited in the middle part of the stage to take a bow, officially finishing our play and to have a picture taking also for the memories they say so I smiled flashing my white teeth in front of the camera.
We all congratulated ourselves after and went back to the back stage to change our clean up everything and change to comfortable clothes after.
Our prof, Mrs. Heatherson approaches us on the backstage to inform a biggest announcement to us.
"Attention my kiddos! I'm here to congratulate all of you from that wonderful heart-breaking performance out there. I never expected to handle talented kids such as y'all, and it's been a pleasure. That's why I'm proud to announce unto y'all that y'all got point 1 to your final grade this semester. Congratulations once again and have a good day my kiddos!" She exclaimed happily causing everyone to cheer in joy for the success of their hard works.
My prof approach me after that announcement saying, "Evoughny darling, that was an excellent performance out there. Very impressive!" She complimented with all smiles.
"Thank you Mrs. Heatherson." I accepted it wholeheartedly.
"Because of that, I wanted to invite you to be with us in the glee club. Would you want to be part of us?" She invited me whilst raising her brows, patting her hands on my shoulder.
"It would be a pleasure but, he wouldn't let me." I declined feeling sorry 'cause of my father.
"Oh... that's saddening but if you changed your mind, the glee club is always open for you okay?" She informed me.
"Of course, Mrs. Heatherson." I nodded at her.
"Ciao, darling! See you when I see you!" She exclaimed whilst walking away, waving her hands fancily at me as I flashed her a sweet smile.
I walked out the theater room heading unto the gates and halted in the school's front yard as someone has been calling me from that familiar bench with that familiar voice.
