You aren't enough!

Get lost!

You're just a burden!

You don't deserve any of this!

Everything was dark and the voices are killing me.

Suddenly, I was in a laboratory with a...... man?

Who's that gonna be?

He turned his head to me and he became a.....

Beast?

"Evougny, RUN!"

"…hugh" I woke up with heavy breathing and panting.

"Beep, beep, beep..." My alarm clock loudly vibrates. It says 7:30. Great! I only got 30mins to prepare. I need to move fast before it becomes an issue, again.

*Sighs* what a great way to start a day.

-After a while-

I moved fast to go to the kitchen. Slowly walking towards the table and sat with two 'perfect people'. I eat my breakfast with manners. As expected there is a dead silence and a dark aura revolving around.

"You only got 5 minutes to eat your breakfast I will not permit Mr. Haux to go with you in school if you passed the time. You will have to commute." Dad sternly said. As always, he always wanted everything to be perfect. Didn't want to dirt his reputation.

"Be back after your school. You need to answer all your assignments and go to bed early. It is for your future. You need to be successful." Mom said arrogantly.

"Yes mom and dad." I said plainly being obedient to them.

From a table full of delicious food. I only grabbed an egg and bacon. Sitting with them makes me nauseated. I need to get away from this place. I finished my food on time and get out with manners. "I'll get going." I said as I get my bag from one of our maids. As expected, they didn't even paid attention of me leaving.

I walked past the big corridors and passed our magnificent main door. Mr. Haux smiled and opens the car door for me so I sat with noble. Car engine starts up as it is the only one who could be heard all around this mundane place.

"Keep up your work... The day will pass soon..."

I keep on chanting those words on my mind as the car drove fast away and away. After passing the gates, that's the time when I could finally breathe and heaved a sigh.

"Young madam, don't worry. I'm here for you, everything will be okay." Mr. Haux said with a smile. I'm fortunate that he is always there for me. He's been always good to me ever since. Sometimes, I wish he was my father. I don't even know if my real father is a father or a boss to me.

*Sighs* I didn't even experience what is a normal child could be.

After a minute, we are already in front of an enormous school, which is a school of high class students, every normal student's dream school. To take a step into it is already a pleasure to all students who doesn't have an opportunity to get here for this one is the top school of the country. This is my dream school, I wanted to graduate too but not this way. Not this way that I can't even get the course I wanted. I'm stuck in being a lawyer like my mother. Yes, I'm a prisoner of their palms. They held my life.

"Here we are young madam. You can do it!" Mr. Haux enthusiastically said. This should be a normal parents would do especially if it's your first day in college. I can't help but to pity myself.

I smiled back, "Thank you Mr. Haux, well, take care ahead." I did a hand salute at him. The car zooms away and as I entered the massive gate, chills went through my spine. Cold breeze keeps slapping on my face. Well, perhaps it was the weather or maybe it was something else?

No, I will not think negatively for today. It was your first day remember? You should be excited. Keep going self.

As I went further and further to the building, I felt strange about the surroundings. There were only few students lingering around. I almost felt that there is someone watching me from afar. Well, that was just in the movies. But I have seen a shadow from the corner of the building vanished as I look further into it.

BLAG!

"Oww..." My head hurts as I bumped into a wall or something, I nearly went down. Man! It was just a college jock. They really got big muscles.

"Oops, sorry young lady. Didn't see you walking around. Be alert, don't let your guards down. There's something strange happening here." The college jock said.

"Oh sorry I didn't watch my steps either. But may I ask what's that 'strange thing happening'? I said politely. It's just the first day of school and it already has a problem. The school got many surprises, eh?

"I didn't know either. I just heard it from the gossips. They say there was a dead body found in the backyard of the school." He said seriously. "I was just about to head there until I bumped at you." He added.

"Would you mind if I would go and check it with you?" I said curiously. "Yeah, sure c'mon. Let's go." He replied.

As we keep on walking to where the body is said to be around. We noticed a bunch of people encircling it.

"Be ready, it's not pleasing unto the eyes." The jock said. Still didn't know his name. Doesn't important either. I nodded as a reply.

As we get closet, a stinky smell lingered around. Urgh! Gross! I'm getting intrigued about what's it gonna be. At last, we reached to the center.

From there we saw a........ Cat?

What???? They are getting scared just because of a cat? Get a life people! Maybe it was just an experiment or it isn't littered in the trash properly since the garbage is just beside of it.

But there's something fishy about it...

I noticed that the cat didn't longer had its insides.

"Owww… disgusting." The jock said disgustedly covering his eyes by his palm and is cursing beside me. I face palmed in my mind. You're a big human yet you're afraid of that? !-_-

I mean yeah it's disgusting but his reaction is overloaded. Tsss...hahaha what a jerk.

"Hey it's just a cat, you don't need to react like you saw a human dead body minus the insides and it's very bloody. It's just in horror movies. Tsk." I said laughing at him.

"You're a small girl yet you aren't scared? A unique one eh." He chuckled.

*Buzzzz.....buzzzz*

The bell is already rings loudly around the whole campus. That signified first subject is about to start.

"The bell is ringing, I'll keep going now and you too. See ya around...."He said with a hint of curiosity. Signaling that he wanted to know my name.

"Evougny, I'll go ahead now and it was a pleasure to meet you....?" I mimicked what he did earlier.

"Johnson. Bye." He chuckled. He salutes signaling that he's off. As he was about to go, I've seen again the shadow earlier in the main door of the school and vanished again when it found out I was staring back.

Oh well, I'm late no need to get confused. My parents will found out if I did a mistake even the slightest one. That's how 'perfect' they were.

I walked through the corridors and went to find my first subject's room. I sighed. Luckily the prof is still not here yet. So I went and sitted at the back in the leftmost part near the window. I like sitting near the window for I can see the outside and it relaxes me.

As I scanned around the room, what caught my attention is a boy on the rightmost part in my row. Wearing a black hoodie, you can see his wearing a long white shirt under for it slipping underneath his hoodie. He also, wore a black tattered jeans and combat boots. He's somewhat familiar, it's like I've seen him before. He sensed someone is staring at him and his piercing eyes met with mine. I smiled plainly at him yet he didn't pay attention and just answered me a cold look and went back staring at his table. Jeez, if looks could kill I'm already a dead meat.

The prof arrived with horror in his eyes and is shaking frantically. He sat with a sigh and plumped his paper in the teacher's desk.

"Sir, are you okay?" One of the students said.

"I...I'm...o...okay... I'm okay. L-let's start!" He said stuttering. Hmmm... There's something happened. The school really has a lot to tell. Might as well investigate.

A series of discussion happened. There's nothing interesting just a normal class. Yet, I need to take down notes to avoid issues as well.

"Class dismissed." The prof said wearily. Something's bothering him. Oh well, I need to take my 1 hour break, my stomach's already grumpy because of the 4 hours lecturing. I put all my things in my sling bag neatly because that's what a 'perfect child' does. So, I walked out and headed to the cafeteria.

Hmmm... The aromas of several foods are welcoming me as I opened the cafeteria door.

BLAG!

Again? Seriously do people love bumping unto me?

"Oh, sorry dear. I was just bothered by something that's why I bumped unto you" The girl said blankly. She almost scare me out because of her outfit. She looked like a live action ghost. Wearing a black small skirt and a leather jacket with a black tanked top underneath. She also wore a black punk boots with a mesh socks. Black lipstick and eyeliner painted her face then she got long black shiny hair. She got some piercings too in her ears. Creep.

"I know I look like a weirdo. Thank you it's my thing. I'm Jet a rocker/songwriter/poet. I love dark things." She said blankly and held her hands.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to stare like that. I was just amaze by your look." I said with a smile and shook her hands. Wow really self? You just said lately she was a creep.

"Would you mind if I share table with you? You're the first one whom I've met here that I get comfortable with already and besides you don't have friends here the same goes to me. Might as well be friends with each other" She smiled.

She knows how to smile! Luckily. What were you thinking self! She's still a human though! And I know she got demons in her, might as well survive with each other. Besides, she's the only person who wants to be friends with me ever since so I would gladly accept it. Also, Getting rid of grace is forbidden.

I smiled back and replied, "Course! I would be glad to have a friend."

"C'mon. Let's order first, I'm hungry." She said while grabbing me to the counter. "Excuse me Ms, I want to order large burger and a large fries with soda and sundae." She smiled and turned her head sideways to me. "It's your turn, what do you want?" She added.

"Hmm.. A Carbonara with an apple and Iced Tea." I said politely to the miss over the counter.

"Is that it?! Oh well, maybe you aren't that hungry" She said with a shocked tone but later on went blank. What a nice first friend. Well who am I to judge I'm not normal either.

If you only knew. Sigh. Oh well, having a strict 'perfect' parents, it happened. I should be having a nutritious balanced diet too.

I just smiled at her. We paid for our lunch and proceeded to our table still in the corner near the big glass window. I love corners, don't mind me.

As we ate, I still followed the norms. Like to sit straight and did all the appropriate table manners when I was taught by my parents.

"Really, like really? Am I sitting in front of a great majesty? I'm completely a lowly peasant whenever I'm around you." She said chuckling as she ate her burger mouthfully. Woah, didn't expect she had a good sense of humor. How I wish I could eat like that. I want to eat fastfood too. T - T

"What's your course by the way? Mine is AB major in English Literature." She said still munching.

"BS Psychology and will later on proceed into law." I said plainly.

"Oh great if I get into prison, I already know where to go." She said laughing. Ohh, I'm starting to like here. It's nice to have someone who can laugh with you.

"Crazy." I chuckled lightly.

"Yup, that's my middle name." She said while eating her fries.

"Hey, did you heard about what happen earlier? That dead body thing? Like… hellooo? It was just a cat and everybody is scared like a baby. Oh people." She asked while rolling her eyes.

"Yeah, silly people." I said plainly while carefully wiping my mouth with a napkin.

"You know but there's something fishy there. I think that cat didn't just die itself. You know, I mean. Not the usual killing like bumped into cars or whatsoever. I've been studying about vampires too and base on the cat's dead body that's how they ate their prey." She said instinctively.

"Like how is it gonna be? There's no traces of vampires now. We're in the 21st century jet. Move on." I said suspiciously.

"We never know, we're in London kid. History proves itself sis." She replied. Tss.... Do vampires really exist ever since? They say London is the epicenter of vampires. Hell, its thousands and thousands years ago. They are just mostly in myths. It's not like there is someone out there that discovered the blood of a vampire and then inject to people to prey people. Very funny.

"We never know. Maybe, they are just out there planning how to end humankind, lurking around, sipping blood with their sharp fangs and booo." She said like telling a story to a kid doing funny moves. She even made a fang out of fries and ketchup. Hilarious!

So we both burst out laughing. But in the corner of my eyes, I saw a familiar figure sitting at the center with his group of friends. He isn't smiling like the others. He was that hoodie boy from my first subject.

Our gaze locked again for the second time. And again, he let it passed of. Like nothing new, nothing interesting. Now I'm starting to get bothered by the situation.

"Hey, I need to get going. My next subject will start in 3mins. My break is 30mins earlier than yours that's why. Peace out. See ya around darling!" She said enthusiastically and doze off fast. I chuckled. Is this the feeling of having a friend? You're relaxed and free. It's nice to have a friend.

Now, what am I gonna do for the next 30mins? Might as well burn those calories.

So I decided to go in the rooftop, to catch some fresh air. Hmmmmm.... How refreshing.

I went to the shady part of the rooftop and sat comfortably.

How I wish I could sit like this and feel free like the wind.

"The rooftop is the best way to be away from the entire noisy and shitty crowd." A husky deep voice stated from afar calmly. I looked around to see who the owner of the voice is. I crawled to look behind the concrete wall and from there I saw a blonde boy resting with his eyes close at the right part of the shady area I've been sitting.

"Yeah....probably." I replied plainly.

We sat in silence feeling the cold breeze enveloping us.

I heaved a deep breath and looked into my watch. T'was 5mins before my next subject. I need to get going.

"Evoughny, eh? Watch your steps carefully honey." He stated again. Did he just state my whole name?! I didn't know him yet how did he know my full name? For Pete’s sake, that's my whole name! I didn't remember mentioning it to someone here before except jet. Man, I felt something about what he just said.

"Course." I replied plainly as I walked in a fast pace. That was creepy. I relaxed as I got into the hallways. Hoo… that was a chills. I entered the next subject and drowned myself in a series of discussions. This will help divert my thoughts about the situations. *Sighs*

4 Hours Later.....

*My class just ended.*

I texted Mr. Haux. It was a signal for him to fetch me up after the last subject just ended. I walked through the hallways and to the main door. As I passed through the field heading for the gates, Johnson called me. The one that I first bumped to. He was with his set of friends I think he's very close to.

"Hey vougn!..." He called waving at me "Come here for a while." He shouted all smiles. I hesitated for a while because Mr. Haux might be here any minute. I smiled back and walked over to him after debating in my mind.

"Calling for me?" I said plainly and stood straight in my toes.

"There's no need for proper norms here young lady, besides where in the 21st century. We're all bad a*ses. Is it okay that I'll just call you vougn? Your name is so long" He chuckled and winked at me. Oh how I wish to be like y'all. So we walked over to the bench where his friends at.

"Here I want you to know my very close friends. “He said excitedly. I just nodded in return.

"Meet Jay Adam Rogers the clown of our group he's usually the butt of the joke HAHAHHA, say Hi bro." He said laughing which jay refused to.

"Don't listen to him milady, I'm more serious when it comes to life especially you." Casanova it is, hmmmm... as he introduced himself while he kissed my hand.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Mr. Rogers." I said politely.

"Oh no, it's more likely 'MY' pleasure to meet you beautiful lady." He said seducingly with a wink.

"Oh stop that disgusting action, don't mind him vougn. He lacks of attention. He just wants to uplift his reputation being a Casanova jerk." He said whispering the last line.

"I heard you fat ass." Jay said with warning.

"Anyways, there are so much more in the line better keep going don't stick with that clown. Meet, Kein Van Winchester. The Mr.Genius here." He said keeping the vibes.

"Johnson." Jay said irritated and was just replied by a smirk from Johnson.

"Hello there vougn! Pleasure to meet you." He said calmly he got that bossy aura far more than this two clowns. Sorry Johnson.

"T'was the same for me." I said politely too.

"The one slumping at the back is Louisse Sans Moretti. Don't mind him he's more like a badass. And he can't entertain you today because he's badly sad." He added. So Louisse, eh? He's the hoodie boy. He just gaze at me for a second like I'm nothing interesting to him.

"Sorry for his attitude. He's mourning because he just lost his mom." He whispered sadly. So that explains what I saw in his eyes. Loneliness.

"Sorry bros I'm late." Another man said from behind. He was that creepy blonde boy in the rooftop. Dang, I don't want to get close to him.

"Oh, I forgot. That guy is Ark Chester Adamson. He's nothing interesting. He just slacks around sleeping." Johnson said boringly as Ark sat in the bench beside Louisse.

"Hey, you're here too honey? It's nice to see you again." He said lazily. It was not nice to see you too. Now, I'm having that chills again. I just smiled awkwardly in return.

"And that's it! You're all free to hang out with us Vougn anytime!" He said cooly whilst hang his arm around my shoulder. It was nice having a friend but except that ark boy.

"That's great news. I hope I can cope up with you guys with my busy sched. Besides, I need to get going Mr. Haux is waiting outside." I said with a smile while pointing at the car outside. Dang, I don't have a long conversation before so I don't what to say.

"So see you around tomorrow? I need to go now." I smiled at them while slowly backing away to leave.

"Of course, Vougn! Anytime!" Johnson said enthusiastically.

"I'll be waiting for you milady." Jay said flirting.

"Take care and see you around then." Kein said calmly.

"Anytime Evougny." Ark said lazily now slumping on the table while Louisse didn't bother to bid goodbye. It's okay. I understand him. I wave at them to say goodbye as I walked straightly to the car still in manners.

"It was great to see you with friends young madam." Mr. Haux was in all smiles.

"Yes, the feeling was great." I said politely as we doze off the street.

I was delighted I met few people and they got to be my friends. It was a nice experience. Yet, I'm still bothered that Ark and Louisse. Ark is keeping something and Louisse? Maybe it's just because of his loss. Okay, I'll accept that. Most especially that cat and what had jet said. Oh, never mind that I'll just treasure this moment first. Don't mind me I just got friends after 18th years of existence.

Nevertheless, this school was really full of surprises. I'm starting to get excited but at the same time worried.

What a great day to start a year.
