Chapter 3 The morning came too soon for Sandra. She dreaded the time when Debbie would leave for school and she would be alone. She was sharp and bad tempered with the girl during breakfast and that only acted to hurry her departure. She knew she was being unfair but couldn't stop. The tension ate at her nerves. When the front door slammed shut her heart gave a flutter. She hurried about the house. She dusted and cleaned things that didn't need it, anything to keep from thinking about the situation.
