I slowly turned around and kept my hand above my eyes, blocking the sun's rays from hitting my eyes. After all the catwalks I did, I thought she wouldn't catch me. Mom was on the balcony of the first floor, just outside her room, looking at me with her face frowned. “I am coming back, believe me,” I told her.
She shook her head disgustingly. “Trust me, if you move out from this house then you will leave me no choice but to get your father involved in this. I will let him know of your wayward attitude. Believe me, you are not going to like it nor will you like what I will tell him.”
Of course, I was not going to like it nor will my father. But again, I had a game I didn’t want to lose. I couldn’t have Debby win me in my duel.
