Raven’s POV
I waited for Derrick outside his house. He was not back yet. I checked my wristwatch. It seemed like I had waited for more than thirty minutes since our last call. I tried to call him to tell him that I would return but saw his vehicle driving in. He parked it, along the space in between two other cars in his garage. “Hi man,” he said and hugged me. “Sorry for keeping you waiting. Was in the middle of something really important.”
“Important?” I said, glancing up and down at him. “How important it must have been to make you sweat this way.”
