"What the hell is keeping her from coming out,” I asked myself in between thoughts. Waiting for Nicole for the past thirty minutes standing on my feet in the middle of a tarred road would have seemed gross if it hadn’t gotten darker since I came. I mean, imagine if a grandma had called the cops on me and eventually I got arrested, what would I say?
‘I saw a black male hanging around the streets for the past thirty minutes doing nothing.’
That would be enough to convince the police that I was hanging around a residential home with a sinister plan in my mind. The accusation would be very difficult to defend in the court of law unless, of course, you got a good lawyer who could save your ass.
