Chapter SevenRiding one of the Earl’s superb horses, Minerva thought that she had never been so happy. For the last three days they had ridden every morning, David on a horse that he managed as skilfully as his elder brother would have done. To Lucy’s delight the Earl’s Head Groom managed to produce, in some magical way, a pony. He was fairly old and not very spirited, but as she rode on a leading rein accompanied by a groom, Minerva was not worried about her. To Lucy it was a joy that she had never known before.
