It had been 12 whole years when I last visited Karachi, a city of lights like people use to call it. It was nothing like I remember, it was now more developed and tall buildings stood instead of plain lands. Like Quetta developed within the span of 12 years I should have known, after it was Karachi we were talking about.
Karachi was one city that was the backbone of Pakistan. If not for Karachi, there wouldn't have been any Pakistan. Karachi had everything, a sea, a port, employment opportunities and not to forget the food of all kinds. You name it and it would be available in Karachi if not anywhere else.
Over the years, I had heard from my family how beautiful Karachi still was, like before, like 12 years back. I wouldn't doubt what they would have said if only I wouldn't
