Briana forced a smile, finding it impossible to explain the reason for their quarrel. So she lied with a straight face, "Not really. Maybe he's just in a bad mood."
Maddie replied with a sigh, "He's always been like that, wearing a long face anywhere he goes."

Maddie continued to say, "Forget about him. Let's eat."
Soon, Scott came out in changed clothes, still with his icy demeanor.
