Another day at work couldn’t feel more exhausting, especially with Theo in the room with me. I keep my gaze fixed on my laptop, fingers tapping away as I type out a project prompt that Theo insisted I work on. The workload is overwhelming, but as his secretary, and given that the last person in my position managed similar tasks, I feel like I have no choice but to wade through the mountain of assignments he piles on me every day. Yet, a nagging question keeps creeping into my mind: why did Theo offer me this job back? I know for a fact he didn’t do it out of goodwill; he never acts without a hidden agenda.
