Chapter 1

831 Words
Laura P.O.V I am going crazy. I feel like going insane. I don't understand the dreams I've been receiving each night. I know one thing for certain that it isn’t a dream. I could feel her touch. Her scent still lingers in the air as if she’s standing right here in front of me. I still smell the fragrance of her chocolate brown hair like a fragile flower wanting to bloom in a shielded castle, hoping it’s in my armored arms. Ahri, a beautiful soft name filled with warmth just like her. The sound of her name drives me insane and gives me the desire to go search for her. I need to dig up the entire story behind the mysterious Ahri. Her subconscious mind made her aware of her bloodstain surrounding and immediately ordered her to escape from this gruesome murder scene. As I walked along the corridors, I realized how high the ceiling was. The intricately carved pillars, standing tall and wide caught my eyes. The enormous exquisite paintings lined along the walls of the corridor as far as my eyes could hold. The glass of the painting reflected the blood on the corners of my lip and the messy hair flowing down my shoulders. I stepped into the nearest room I’ve encountered and walk straight to the closet. I beamed at the varieties of clothes hanging before my eyes. I scanned through the entire closet but ended up grabbing the first plain white long sleeve button up shirt and put it on. I found myself drowned in the oversized shirt as I glared down upon myself. No time to dwell upon this. I must keep moving. Racing around the entire big mansion, my heart pounded with each passing second. My legs taking me as far as it could. The tension in the limbs screamed to quench the thirst for a moment of halt before collapsing on the floor. Mustering all the strength to stand up just to collapse again in front of a huge wooden door. The word “ Library” is engraved in big letters on the door. Curiosity took the best of me and the next thing I knew, I am standing in front of one of the bookshelves in the library withholds many old books. I took one book called "Arcendonia" off the shelves and skim through it. It seems very captivating. When I was done exploring, I went to the bedroom filled with bodies sprawled all over the floor. I have gotten used to it. I have gotten used to my violent life and the way I can't seem to recall any memory in the morning. I’ve used to hurt myself because I can’t control my wolf from going on a rampage every night. I’ve gathered my bloody clothes and burn the evidence leading to their murder. I felt bad for the couple I have murdered. As I glance around the bedroom, I came across a newlywed picture. I’ve destroyed their future and their promise. I am a monster, but I won't let myself dwell on that kind of thought for I know full well what happened to me in the past. I won’t let the past repeat itself. I reassure myself the killing was for justice. I walked out of the house through the back door and into the wood where no one would find me suspicious. Like why is that girl wearing an oversized shirt with no pants? If I were to get caught, my friends and family will be in trouble as well. In the middle of the forest, there lies a medium size wooden house. My family lives beside on a farm is beside this house where we grow fresh food. I went inside my home to find my mother preparing breakfast and dad chopping up woods for the fire. He looks as strong as ever with his muscular body and good looks. Mom is slaying it with her curvy slim body, crystal blue eyes, and blonde hair. The supernatural I guess helped them maintain their good looks. I have inherited my mom crystal blue eyes, blonde hair, and pale skin. I was often told that I bear a great resemblance to my mother. "Good morning mom," I greeted her as I walked in. "Good morning honey," she replies with a grin. "Do you need any help mom," I ask as I stepped into our small cozy kitchen, but to only fall down on the floor in excruciating pain. As I fell, the feeling of electric current laced up to my brain causing me to crouch on the floor. I was unsure of what was happening to me. Everything surrounding me started to blur and the image of a girl gradually appear in my vision. The minute light fell upon her face, I recognize who it was Ahri. She's in grave danger.
