Moments later the door flew open and Bethany walked in. She was right about not respecting boundaries because I didn't hear a knock and there was no time to ask rather to assume a posture that wasn’t going to raise any suspicion from her hawk-eyed mother.
"What are you guys up to?"
"I'm reading a book, and the sleepy head..."
"He is awake and unpacking" Bethany said.
She turned around to look at me. Perfect dramatic kills, acting as though I was asleep from the time she came in the room yet minutes ago we were in each other's arms.
"Oh, when I walked in he was sound asleep"
"I send you to wake him up. We're going to be late for dinner. Come on! Go to your room and prep!"
"Gladly!" Ivy left with the book.
