“Is this all you brought?” Emily asked as I was putting away our things.
“I plan to shop for some more while I am out this way,” I answered with a huff.
I do not know why she followed me to our room, but I was hoping for some private time. I need to collect myself from Aunt Vera’s curve ball. I did not expect her to put us in a guest house. I expected the packhouse, where I would have to fight some omega or warrior for respect. Or I would fight my inner demons over darkened hallways.
