I sat on Jake's lap, enjoying his attention. He feeds me from his plate as I do him and occasionally so does Ted or Ramsey, who felt like they were getting jealous. I could not let it stand like that. There were smiles between us and I even saw my mother and Marabelle smiling about this, too. I couldn't let my three men become upset that I was giving one more attention than the other.
However, the relatives were not happy that they were doing this in front of them. Only a few seemed to think that I was in my place while like this and bore shark-like smiles. They really don’t know us very well.
