Due to Isabella's help in my escape from her brother Greed, she asked for another favor from me that seems hard to refuse.
"Does my dress still look good on me?" Isabella asked while wearing a dress that wasn't particularly beautiful. "Do you think he'll back out of our wedding if he sees me like this?" she asked me again.
It seems like you have an idea of what favor Isabella asked of me; she just made me her servant.
I sighed while holding the pile of clothes she picked out.
"Why don't you just tell the man you're going to marry that you don't like him?" I asked her, my tone irritated but still respectful.
I heard her sigh.
"I can't do anything because I don't have the right to make decisions for myself, as I am just a woman," she said sadly to herself. My forehead creased at what I heard.
"A woman? So what if you're a woman? You still have the right to make decisions for yourself," I suggested to Isabella with a furrowed brow.
"Where do you get such words? Are you ignorant or do you just conveniently forget the law? We women have no right to make decisions for ourselves," Isabella replied angrily to me because of what I said.
Wow. I was stunned by her words. I was still confused by what Isabella said, so I couldn't speak immediately.
"If you still don't understand, then read this," she said, grabbing a book from the dresser and throwing it at me.
"Maybe you'll understand."
The book she threw fell at my feet, and I quickly put down the clothes I was holding to start reading the book. Miraculously, Isabella let me read by the side of her bed while she was busy fixing herself. Because the book was thick, I got bored reading it quickly, so I called Great Maven to explain it to me.
"Great Maven, could you please explain to me why women like us are worthless in this place?"

While waiting for Great Maven's response, I glanced at Isabella, who was brushing her long chocolate hair while looking in the mirror. Suddenly, she looked at her reflection in the mirror and caught me staring at her.
"What are you looking at?" she asked me sharply.
"Nothing, hehehe," I replied, embarrassed, and returned my gaze to the book.
[If I may summarize. According to the passed law of former King Franklin III, Article Twenty-One. All women are prohibited from making their own decisions, and teaching any kind of self-defense is also prohibited. The only role of women in the entire Divinus Kingdom is to-] Great Maven stopped when I suddenly slapped my ear, even Isabella looked at me.
"Why?" Isabella asked me in surprise.
"There's a mosquito." I said while rubbing my reddened ear, pretending.
The law passed by former King Franklin III is very horrible, it makes us women seem worthless, even deciding for ourselves is prohibited.
"I'm done," I replied to her, and she stood up and faced me.
"Let's go out, I'm sure my fiancé is already in the hall," she said seriously. I just nodded at her and followed her as she walked.
I felt sorry for Isabella, who couldn't do anything for herself. I felt like she really didn't want to marry the man arranged for her.
When we arrived at the hall, I saw Greed again, accompanied by two people I didn't know, they looked like their parents.
"Child, what are you wearing!" Isabella's mother exclaimed.
"Why is your attire so ugly, child?" her father reacted the same way.
"You don't care anymore, Father, Mother, this is what I want to wear," Isabella said with a smile.
Greed's lips twitched as he looked at his sister, and they seemed to have a silent conversation. They stopped when the giant door opened, and people in fancy clothes entered. One of them had green hair and was showing his teeth as he smiled.
"He must be the one Isabella is going to marry, not bad."
"4th Prince Festin Ambros, we are happy to have arrived safely in our place," his father greeted the man named Festin with a smile.
"My guess was right, but he's a prince?"
Festin looked at Isabella, apparently noticing her unsightly attire.
"Don't you like it?" Isabella asked him with a smile.
"Isabella," his father warned her, but Festin just shook his head.
"I like your attire, Miss Isabella, you're still beautiful no matter what you wear," Festin replied with a smile, and Isabella's smile disappeared.
Isabella failed. Her attempt to make Festin dislike her attire had no effect; she should have also made her face ugly.
"Accept my small gifts, Miss Isabella," Festin signaled his servants to place the chests they carried on the ground.
"Thank you very much, Prince Festin. What are these?" Isabella's father asked Festin before opening the chest.
"These are Class A armaments that I bought from various places I visited," Festin replied proudly to Isabella's father, who almost had his mouth water at the sight of the high-quality armaments.
"I was not wrong in arranging for you to marry my daughter, Prince Festin, you are as kind and generous as your father, the king," Isabella's father praised Festin.
'His head is getting bigger,' I commented in my mind as I noticed his arrogant demeanor.
"Let's leave that there for now. I know you've traveled far, Prince Festin. Let's eat first, and then we'll talk about your impending marriage to my daughter Isabella," Greed interrupted beside his father, and Festin just nodded and smiled in agreement.
I followed Isabella, who was already bored with the proceedings.
"How are you? It's good that we meet again," Greed greeted me with a smile, and I awkwardly smiled back at him as I walked behind Isabella. We were now heading towards the mansion's dining room.
"Let's sit down and eat first," Isabella's father invited Festin, and they immediately sat down while I still stood by Isabella's side.
"Isabella, who is she?" Isabella's mother asked when she noticed that I was always following her daughter.
"My new servant," Isabella replied with a smile to her mother.
Servant? If I were a servant, I would slap you right there!
While they were eating, I heard them talking about Isabella's imminent engagement to Festin. I also noticed that Isabella seemed more and more bored as she ate, so I approached her and whispered.
"It turns out your future husband doesn't look bad; you can endure it," I whispered to her.
She frowned before whispering back to me.
"Are you saying he's ugly?" Isabella asked me.
"Not really, but I seem to have seen him somewhere before." My eyes narrowed as I pretended to think. "Yes, I saw him in the pasture eating grass." I joked with Isabella, and she smiled at my words.
Isabella looked around when she noticed that Festin was looking at her from his seat. He was smiling while eating a vegetable salad and observing her.
"HAHAHAHAHA!"
Isabella burst into laughter while covering her mouth.
"Isabella!" her father shouted, but she couldn 't stop laughing even when she looked at Festin again.
Oh no! Isabella! Only now someone laughed at my joke!
