The next day after Festin's visit to Isabella, everything in the mansion returned to normal. " Hold this, I'll buy it too," Isabella placed the fruits she had chosen into the basket I was carrying for her. " Why not just buy all those fruits or maybe this entire store?" I whispered to her. She was serious about making me her servant. " Do you have something to say?" Isabella raised an eyebrow, questioning me. " Nothing, Young Lady Isabella," I avoided her gaze and grabbed an apple from the basket I was carrying, then ate it. Living in the Adventurer World wasn't actually difficult; it was like living on Earth, except this world was filled with amazing things. After we finished shopping, I immediately helped Isabella to mount her horse. As we traveled back to their mansion, questions about Isabella formed in my mind. " By the way, Young Lady Isabella, what's your rank?" I asked her. She just looked at me and shook her head. " Can't you feel it?" Isabella asked, puzzled. " Feel what?" I asked again. I didn't feel anything except for my tired legs. "I'm close to believing that you're a fool, Lethe," Isabella smirked, "I'm already a 1st Knight Silver Rank," she proudly announced. She was one rank higher than me. " How did you manage to rank up if you're not allowed to fight? Surely, you're not being trained," I asked Lethe in succession. " Fool. You can increase your rank not only through training and fighting; there are many ways to do so," Isabella explained to me. " Such as?" I asked. She looked at me and gave me a menacing look. " Why would I tell you? You're just a mere 9th Hamlet Iron Rank servant of mine," she taunted me. I was so close to challenging Isabella to a fight. She had such a volatile personality—sometimes kind, sometimes a demon. " Ha. Ha. Ha." I sarcastically laughed at her, "Don't you want to practice?" I suddenly asked Isabella. Because I wanted to increase my rank. " Are you joking? You know it's forbidden for us to learn any kind of fighting," Isabella responded irritably. " Oh, you don't want to?" I teased her, "I was thinking of practicing." I seemed to have caught Isabella's attention with that statement. " You're getting bold. Be careful, if anyone sees you, you'll be locked up and sentenced to death," Isabella warned me. Wow, death immediately? " Well, I'll be careful," I said, trying to persuade her. I just realized how much I enjoyed teasing her about these things. " You know I can report you," Isabella threatened me, so I looked at her and grinned broadly. " Go ahead~~Report me." Damn. Where do you get that courage, Lethe! If you report me, you're in for it. " You're brave, huh? Don't try me," Isabella smirked at me before we finally entered their huge mansion. I handed my carried baskets to the servants. " Maybe you'll change your mind and want to accompany me," I helped her dismount from the horse, and she just raised an eyebrow at me. "I'll report you," she threatened again. "But your face says something else, 'like—'" I approached Isabella a little closer, "You want to accompany me." I grinned mischievously at her. She looked at me and furrowed her brows. " Stop it! Hmp!" Isabella snapped at me and turned away. I just watched her enter their mansion, then she suddenly turned to look at me again. " Are you just going to stand there?!" she shouted at me, so I quickly followed her. " Get my bath ready, I'm going to take a bath now," Isabella ordered me without even looking at me. I mimicked her voice without making a sound; after all, I could escape from here if I wanted to, but I chose to stay. I think I need to find out everything about this world before I act alone. " Ready?" I looked at Isabella as her body was wrapped in a towel. I looked up at her sophisticated face and bowed to show respect. " Ready, Young Lady Isabella," I replied before walking away, but she immediately stopped me. " Wait." "Why?" I looked back at her while smiling, and she turned away. " Let's discuss what you said earlier," she said to me as she leaned against the edge of the bathtub, "No one will hear us here." Didn't I tell you she'd agree? You're amazing, Lethe! " Sure," I agreed, sitting on the floor, "Let's start planning how we can escape from the guards in your mansion." She nodded in agreement. "I've noticed that the soldiers patrol inside and outside the mansion every night. Do you know any secret passages we can use to escape?" I asked her, making Isabella think. "I know of one, but... it's disgusting to pass through there," Isabella replied, disgusted. "We have no choice if you want to practice. You'll have to endure," I said, annoyed. She's too picky—if you want something, there's a way; if you don't, there are plenty of excuses. " Are you sure?" Isabella asked hesitantly. " Of course!" I replied confidently. That night. " Ugh. It smells terrible here?!" I complained to Isabella as I covered my nose. "Tsk. It's your fault; we haven't even left yet, and we're already dead," she scolded me, hitting my shoulder. " Ouch, stop it! Let's just run," I invited her, and she immediately followed me in running. We were just in an underground pipe tunnel; it seemed like all the filth of the people was here. I felt like my stomach had turned upside down. " Hurry up and open that!" Isabella ordered me irritably as she covered her nose with her hands. " Hold on!" I struggled to remove the manhole covering the path. Once it was removed, I quickly climbed up and reached out my hand to Isabella. " Ahh, let's find another way next time," she complained to me as she emerged from the hole. I just stared at her. " Yeah, we stink now, hahaha," I laughed at my own smell. " Aish. Move!" I looked at the projected hologram trackpad that appeared in front of Isabella, and she took a suit from her item list. I just shook my clothes and watched what Isabella was doing. " I'll change clothes first, so turn around," she ordered me, and it seemed like I froze at her words, "I said turn around! I'm changing clothes!" she shouted at me, and I quickly obeyed, pondering while waiting for her to finish. " Done," she said, so I immediately turned to her, smiling when I saw her not dressed yet. My mouth slightly opened as I stared at her. " Looks good," I said with a smile, but Isabella just looked away from me. She faced her hologram trackpad and took out a wooden sword. " Thanks, but we have little time, so let's start our training," she quickly pushed me to my position. "Wait a minute?!" I exclaimed.
