chapter one

Ding!ding!ding! my alarm rang out loud,

"oh gosh,what a short night"I groaned as I stood up sleepily. I put on the lights ,said my morning prayers and went to have my bath, after taking my bath I put on my clothes ,a jean pant and white top,I held my hair in a tight bun and looked at myself in the mirror "perfect" i said smiling, putting my phone and ear phones into my bag i left my room.

Oh pardon my manners, the name's Samantha, yea Samantha Alberto,the only daughter and child of Hillary and Salvador Alberto,a rich business man.

I'm 17 and in my last year in high school . we just moved to Manila.

Wait, have I mentioned that am crazy about Filipino actresses?,I love acting and my favorite actress is Kathryn Bernardo, she's my role model.

"good morning ma'am "Juliet my maid said,

"breakfast ready?"I asked her as i walked to the kitchen,

"yes ma'am "Juliet replied as she dished my food.

After eating I went to my room for a last check, I received a call from my dad,

"hello dad" I said

"good morning sweetheart, how was your night? "my dad asked, "great, though it was so short "I replied ,my dad chuckled,

"have you left for school " he asked,

"not yet dad"i replied

"is your mom taking you " he asked,

"of course not dad, what do you think, you know she doesn't care about me " I said

"oh no darling, don't say that "he replied

"oh whatever...i have to go now " I said

" why don't you ask..... "my dad started but I had hung up, I didn't want to hear anything about my mom,

I came out of my room and went to our driveway, my driver drove me to school.

it was my first day in this school and I was going without a guardian, gosh.

I walked through the hallways and asked for directions to the principal's office from a student .

"you are Samantha Alberto, right? " the principal asked and adjusted her glasses, she probably must be in her early forties I thought as I glanced at her

"hello,are you there"she asked

"yes ma'am " I replied hurriedly, she nodded and searched her table for something, she gave me a paper and gave me directions to my class.

As I entered the class I walked straight to my seat and sat,i sat glued to my seat staring at nothing in particular, the student were all chatting with each other excitedly," you are Samantha Alberto right? " I heard a voice say from behind and I turned. A slightly slim girl with average height was standing right at my back, her hair was packed in a pony tail.

" hey can't you talk ?" she asked and her friends laughed,

     what was so funny

" I am " I replied

" oh I thought you couldn't speak.....anyways the principal calls for you she said and left immediately.

I stood up from my seat and walked towards the door, I could feel all eyes were on me .i walked out hurriedly.

         arghhh, who the hell is she who does she think she is huh?,she's such a jerk, I knew I wouldn't like this school.

  principal's office **

" hum Samantha....take this I forgot go hand it over to you earlier " the principal said as she gave me an identification card. I held it,

" no, wear it, it shows you being part of this school " she said.

" oh" I mumbled and wore it gently.

" you can take your leave now, have a nice day " she said

" OK ma'am " I replied and left immediately.

ANA ***

I walked into the class and went straight to my seat, only to see an unfamiliar face,

      she must be a new student.

" hi " I said smiling, she turned to face me, she waved.

I went over to her seat,

" hi I'm Ana " I said as I stretched my hands to her,

" hello, I'm Samantha " she replied as she took my hands.

" what a nice name, welcome to our school " I said smiling.

" thanks " Sam replied smiling.

" so don't you want to take a stroll around the school? " I asked sam

" let me show you round the school we still have about..... 15 minutes before classes start " I continued.

" hum, don't worry, I'm fine here " she replied.

" c'mon " I urged,

" OK fine " she replied and I led her out of the class.

" so this our garden but the student here call it love garden because of the shape of the garden, like a heart shaped you get right,..... and that is the field " I said showing Samantha around,

" wow this garden is so beautiful and may I say you are also nice " Samantha said as we sat on a bench

I laughed

" thank you " I replied

" and you are also not like some people " she blurted,

" what! " I asked confused

" hum sorry for that ,slip of tongue " she replied

" no it's okay, you can tell me " I assured her.

" okay, it's just that I met a nasty girl today, she was a little bit slim, tall, had blue eyes, ha..." she said but I interrupted her,

" so you have met Celine and her friends? " I asked her curiously,

" oh so that's her name, " Sam murmured.

" don't listen to her teasing or her talks, that's how she is, all sassy and rude, you will get used to her in no time " I said to Sam ,

Sam smiled " thank you Ana " she replied.

the bell rang,

" time to go " I announced and we left.

SAMANTHA ****

drama class was interesting, I loved it,

    I think I'm gonna like this school.

" Sam c'mon let's go to the cafeteria to have lunch," Sam called

I put my books inside my bag and grabbed my phone.

cafeteria ***

" let's seat over there " I said to Ana as I pointed to an empty table.

" so what do you want " Ana asked me,

" nothing just coffee " I replied

" c'mon, don't be shy, " Ana said

" okay, tell me what you want and i will get it for you, that way I can decide " I replied

" no don't worry " Ana said,

"you have been nice to me today so let me just do this " I urged.

" okay,...one hamburger and a cup of coffee " Ana said.

" okay, be back in a jiffy " I replied and left to get our order

" two hamburgers and two cups of coffee " I ordered,

within minutes I was given my order and I headed back to our table.

" see " I said to Ana as I dropped the tray in the table, she smiled.

" thank you " Ana said and took a sip of her coffee.

" always welcomed " I replied smiling,

I had just taken a bite out of my hamburger when I heard a voice bark behind me,

" hey you too ,get up from that table," the voice said and I turned, my eyes met an handsome guy, he was standing with two other guys,

I stared at him.

" huh" I asked.

" yes you" I heard him say again.

a little crowd had gathered already,

   what was this

the student most especially the girls were all trying to touch the guy.

* OMG it's tristan

* Tristan I love you be mine

* I would do anything for you just touch me

* talk to me

the student were all yelling excitedly

the Tristan guy smiled

" you have got some nerve little doll " he said grinning

" c'mon Sam let's leave " Ana whispered to me

" no I'm not, " I said loudly

I faced Tristan " who the hell are you " i asked him

" you don't need to know just leave I want to sit there " he said.

" no I'm not leaving here until I'm done eating " I replied maintaining my stand,

* OMG she has got some nerve , a student said,

I ignored them and continued eating.

Tristan tried to push me but i stopped him.

" don't even dare" I warned and stood up

" what if I ?" he asked and smirked.

" you would regret it......besides why do you want to sit here, you just a jerk, there are other seats you jerk" i said.

He tried to slap me but I was quick, I held his hands,

" coward" I spat

" c'mon Sam let go ,don't get yourself into trouble" Ana said trying to drag me out.

" yeah little doll,listen to your dumb friend " one of his friends said.

" shut it " I said

" leave " Tristan ordered,

I gave him that * I'm not done with you eyes*.

I walked away

" I'm not done with b***h,you will regret for talking back at me, " he yelled as I left.

ANA****

    oh my, this is big trouble

" Sam what did you just do in there" i asked as we got to the garden.

" nothing, just gave that jerk a piece of my mind " she replied

           gosh

" no Sam, no, do you know the consequences of your actions in there, Tristan is not someone who will let go of something like that easily without getting a deep reve...." I said but got interrupted by sam.

" oh, that what he does right?, but I'm not someone who would be bullied, not me " she replied.

" Sam if you want a free school life you have to plead to Tristan, I don't know when or how, but you have to " I said.

she laughed.

" Sam it's not funny " I said angrily. why should I plead to him?, because I didn't let him bully me or what,if you are really bothered why don't you do it huh? " Sam replied not feeling remorse at all,

" Sam just plead, it takes nothing, " I pleaded again, I didn't want any problem

" I DON'T CARE " Sam replied giving air quotes around her words,

" really huh? " I said,

she was really adamant.

Sam looked at me ,

" are we going to class or what " she asked me.

I sighed and we left.

  SAMANTHA *****

we went to class and I had my sit.

       that tri.. or whatever Ana called him is such a jerk, he really fits Celine, both have bad characters.

" arghhh" I yelped in pain, a hand was tugging badly at my hair ,

" speaking of the devil " I murmured.

" what do you want" I asked Celine

Celine smiled.

" I heard about what you did to my Tristan at the cafeteria, you just a new student and you already acting stupid.... just so you know always watch your back because you never know what's gonna happen " Celine warned.

I grinned .

" wow!,what a great sermon Celine but back off " I said and walked away angrily.

The bell rang and immediately I carried my bags and left with Ana,

" c'mon let's go " I said as we got outside.

" don't worry ,my driver is on his way" Ana said.

"okay, bye" I said and left.

TRISTAN ****

at Tristan's house **

I lay on my bed, thinking about the incident at school.

       arghhh, who the hell is that little brat, how dare her question my authority, I'll surely make her pay, she may have left the seat eventually but for arguing and questioning my authority, she's surely gonna  pay.

The door of my room opened and I looked up to see who was there.

" Cristine? what are you doing in my room and why didn't you knock, have your knuckles got sucked up" I asked her angrily.

Cristine, my step sister was just fourteen years, my mother died in a car accident three months after I was given birth to, I was left with my dad, after some years, his dad got married to another woman, who was the mother of Cristine, I have lived all my life without my mother, my dad was always out of the country and had little time for me, but he always gave me what I or my stepsister wanted except his time.

ofcourse my dad Mr salcedo owns chains of businesses ,he also has a large share in our school so anything we want to change concerning our school can be done, all we needed was dad.

" hey did you even notice I'm here? " Cristine asked me.

" yeah I do, I just chose to ignore you " I replied.

" dad is back, and he's leaving tomorrow morning " Cristine said

" so? " I asked,

" what do you mean? gosh" Cristine said and left.

      dad is back, so?, I mean who cares, I just need to think of how I can deal with that little doll.

oh yeah, I've got it.

I left my room and went to meet my dad.

SAMANTHA ****

I got down from the car and went inside the house. I found my mom in the living room watching a movie, I ignored her and went to my room.

I took my bath and wore my night gown and went downstairs to have dinner. mom was no longer in the living room, I went to the kitchen and took my food back to the living room.

my mom came out of wearing a long dinner gown, she let her hair down on her shoulders, she held a mini purse.

" parties, parties, parties, never tired " I mumbled. she ignored me and left .

my mother loves going to parties, never cares about me or my feelings, but now I just choose to totally ignore her, I have learnt to be bold and to always stand up for myself.

TRISTAN *****

   I'll get you soon Sam.

"dad, I need to talk to you.... in private " I said and eyed Cristine.

" I thought you didn't care " Cristine said

" hey, just get out" I yelled.

" c'mon bully me " she taunted and left.

I told my dad about the incident at school but he insisted that I was wrong,

" really? should I tell the world your secret? " I asked

" you don't need that, I would do it" he said and I smiled.

       Sam you don't know what you have gotten into

my dad had a call and signalled that the deal was done.

" that's great, you are the best " I smiled and left.

next day at school

SAMANTHA ****

I got to school early for next morning and met Ana already seated in the class.

" hey how was your night? "Ana asked

" fine, thank you" I replied

" so are you ready to plead to Tristan ?" Ana asked

" I don't want to hear anything about that jerk" I said

Ana sighed.

" look who is here " a thick voice said and I turned, I hissed on seeing Tristan, I ignored him and brought out a pen and paper to write,

"I thought you wouldn't come to school today " Tristan said

" surprise..... here I am so get out " I said,

" that is just the tip of the iceberg Sam, you would pay for questioning my authority and talking back at me" he whispered ,his tone was threatening but I wasn't threatened at all.

" oh whatever " I said and continued writing .

" c'mon Sam let's talk in the garden, there is more privacy there " Ana said as she pulled me out.

"what was Tristan talking about earlier " Ana asked me

" you know it's what he calls em.... em....payback yeah" I replied

" okay, if you say so, " she replied .

" I need a coffee ...lets go to the cafeteria " I said.

" Sam... we can't go there now" Ana said.

"ofcourse we can" I replied, ignorant about what she was trying to say.

" about what happened in the cafeteria yesterday " she replied.

" what happened " I asked her. she sighed.

" just stay here I will get you your coffee " she said .

" I will be waiting, so hurry" I replied and brought out my phone .

after lunch break***

TRISTAN ****

after lunch break all the students had a meeting with the clubmaster.

" good day students, I'm sure you are all aware of the various clubs we have and since we have begun fully, we would start having classes, regular meetings in our various clubs, and many more. so those new student should meet me after this meeting to be registered and also those that wish for change groups, any questions? thank you" she said and left before any questions were asked.

"I would join the drama group"i heard Sam say to Ana. I smiled mischievously.

      I've got a mission to accomplish.

CELINE****

" I wonder if Tristan's gonna change group" I said to Jessie and Bianca

" I think he is " Bianca replied as she pointed towards the clubmaster,

"but he might just wanna get something " I said

" are you gonna stand here or follow him" she asked.

" hi " I said to Tristan,

he looked at me,

" are you changing groups " he asked,

" why do you want to know " he asked.

" just tell me " I pleaded

" drama group " he replied.

" but you don't like acting " I asked concerned.

" oh don't I ?,well I do now " he said and walked away.

I saw Ana standing by the window, I went to meet her. " hey"I said she ignored me,

" ana" I called

" what do you want from me " she asked looking at me with disgust

" which group is Sam joining " I asked.

" and why should I tell you" she asked and tried to walk away but i grabbed her.

" don't walk out on me " I warned and held her tight.

" let go of me" Ana said,

"I won't until you tell me what I want" I said, she struggled to free herself

" don't make a scene so people won't notice " I whispered

"okay......., drama group, now let go" she said,

I left her.

    so that's why Tristan is joining drama group,sam is getting it,

I smiled.
