The King's Promise

He reached up and stroked my fur "God you are huge... You're magnificent" he said, still petting me. I nodded my head and laid on my belly shaking my back telling him to hop on. He stood up and walked over to me, not sure what I was asking of him. I nipped his arm dragging him closer to my back then using my snout to push him up. "Oh get on" he said as he grabbed my fur and tried to swing a leg over. He was pretty injured so I helped him. One he was on he leaned over to my ear "I am glad you got out sis I would have died" I Ran back to the cave first doing a few laps to see if anyone was near I did not pick up any scent or sight of danger I went in to the cave and marie came running to greet caleb. She helped him down. I stayed in my wolf form
until Marie brought me clothes and Caleb turned around. "Here" she said softly, handing me a pair of underwear, a bra, jeans and a shirt.
"I had to guess your sizes, you are my size so I packed extra" she said setting them on the ground and turning around she ran to caleb who was sitting next to the wall turned around with his back to me. I shifted and quickly dressed. "What the hell is she doing here scarlett" he asked with his eyes showing how angry he was but he kept his voice calm. We explained to Caleb what happened. "I could not leave her behind" I said, my voice rougher than I meant it to be. "No you couldn't," He said, sighing ruffling his hands on the top of maries head. "What happened Caleb I smell blood and there is a lot of it? Where is everyone?" I asked, sitting down on the floor next to them. "It was the Lycan King. King Mark" he said, his eyes taking a far away look. "He came, he demanded that alpha Alan withdraw his forces and the treaty stay in place. Alan refused saying he was not his king and ordered us to attack King Mark. I could not bring myself to dare do it. I stood there as the others attacked one knocked me down the king he..he slashed his throat then came toward me. I sat up and bowed my head. I waited Scarlett for him to kill me instead he leaned down took a deep breath looked me in the eye and told me to go home. So I got up and I left I started to walk home.
Behind me the Kings forces tore right through the alphas forces; the king walked through the alphas warriors and grabbed him by the neck he threatened the alpha and said that this was his only warning there would be no more chances to draw his forces or face him again. and he said there will be peace or there will be his death" I sat back bracing myself on my hands. "Well I'll be damned. Finally someone is making that volatile alpha eat his own words." I said chuckling. "where are the men attacking you king marks?" I asked, realizing I may have just killed royal guards. "No, they were from the eastern territories. They attacked us after King Mark and his guards had left They believe they got their point across then left and shortly after we got attacked by the east. Scarlett attacked when we had just been torn through. The king came himself; he is ruthless. I have never seen someone rip out so many throats without even shifting." He said his voice going cold. I looked at Caleb. He seemed terrified he'd been through a lot. I tried to remember the things I heard about the king; it had never been anything good. “I don’t know Caleb what you’re saying it sounds like he is a Nobel man” I said exhaling a breath. “Nobel Prehaps but for sure he’s f*****g terrifying” he said a cold shiver running down his spine.
"well I hope for my sake he is a very nobel man I am not sure how i am going to ask him for his blood to cure myself of the devils nectar" I said sighing. "I dont know Scar but marie and I will both be with you. We are family and are now in this together" Caleb said. Marie smiled "There is no way you are leaving us behind not when you life is at stake." she said "Plus I Absolutely love Z!:" she said with a smile. Z started to pur in my head she has bonded with marie but you know many hours of riding on my back will do that to a person. I laughed a bit then helped Marie finish patching Caleb up “the two of you need rest I’ll take watch” I said to Caleb. Marie had fallen asleep, her head resting on Caleb’s lap. “I can help” he said “no you need to rest
up you are injured” I said “now close your eyes and rest I am getting ready to shift.” Caleb closed his eyes and leaned his head back against the wall. Soft snoring soon filled my ears. I walked close to the edge of the cave and disrobed, shifting into my wolf. We ran out and started to patrol the area.
