Amara's POV On a scorching sunny day, I was surprised to encounter this shady Alpha. It turned out that it was Alpha's car that rear-ended mine. Somehow, I found myself staring at his increasingly masculine face. His hair was slightly wavy and longer. "You're beautiful!" this wolfish man said to me. Boldly, Marco grabbed my hand and leaned in closer to me. "He's so confident in trying to seduce me. I'm not a cheap woman who easily falls for his handsomeness!" I sighed inwardly. I kicked his ego, causing my strong kick to make my high heels come off. I couldn't hold back my suppressed laughter. "Feel it, don't be too confident in trying to seduce me. You're not the only one who can captivate me!" I firmly asserted to that sleazy Alpha. I walked away without giving a second thought to that death deity. He was the death god for werewolves, who never considered the lives of others. The slightest mistake could result in Alpha killing someone as easily as swatting a mosquito. But, you won't see the weak Amara anymore. You'll see soon. I put on my sunglasses again and walked quickly, even without footwear. Wilson got out of the car, swiftly retrieving my high heels from the trunk. I got back into the car, no longer seeking compensation because I didn't want to deal with that sleazy man. A few weeks passed... I dealt with the piled-up workload, my desk overflowing with documents and files. I was busy alone at the headquarters of Lilac Company. "Phew, I never imagined myself becoming an entrepreneur or businesswoman like this." I sighed, taking a long breath. I leaned back in my oversized chair, lost in thought. I was startled when someone suddenly walked right into my office. "Can we have a meeting now?" asked the tall, brown-skinned man. "Uh, um... Yes, of course!" I replied, getting up from my chair, fixing my hair, jacket, and shirt that I was wearing. "Alright, Miss Amara, you can review the collaboration proposal. I hope you agree to all the agreements between us!" the man said, sitting in a chair opposite me. I sat back down, trying to calm my breath and heartbeat. I don't know why I felt so awkward, even though I was used to meeting and having meetings with clients. After examining and reading through the collaboration documents, I understood that all the requirements were fair and didn't disadvantage either party. I proceeded to sign the partnership between Lilac Company and Arthur Corporation. Although this man's company was a branch, I trusted him as he was known to be intelligent and highly competent. However, for some reason, my sense of smell could detect the scent of a wolf from this man's body. But I wouldn't bring it up because it was everyone's secret and privacy. "Alright, Mr. Arthur, I'm thrilled about this collaboration. How about we continue with lunch at a restaurant near my office?" I offered as I shook his hand. "Oh, it's not my intention to decline your invitation, Miss Amara. However, I'm currently very busy and won't be able to have lunch with you. But I would be honored if you could attend an important event for my company," he explained, pulling out an invitation card. "Alright, Mr. Arthur, thank you for your invitation. I will make an effort to attend your company's anniversary event!" After our agreement was concluded, I escorted my guest to the front door of my office. "Thank you, Miss Amara," he said with a sweet smile. "Thank you as well, Mr. Arthur!" I replied, bowing as a sign of respect. Arthur left my office, and I went back in and sat on the sofa, stretching my muscles. Shortly after, Zion knocked on the door and asked for permission to enter. The door happened to be half-open, so I could see Zion standing at the threshold. "Sorry, Miss, may I come in?" he asked. "Of course, don't hesitate. I already consider you like my own brother!" I said, making him smile faintly. "Do you have any plans for today, Miss?" he asked. I shook my head and said, "Do you have something important to talk about with me?" I asked in return. "Yes, Miss. I received an invitation from Mr. Arthur. And he said that I could attend his company's anniversary event along with you!" "Alright, you will accompany me to the event then!" I massaged my tired and achy arms. Unexpectedly, Zion sat behind me and prepared to give me a massage. "What are you doing, Zion?" I asked spontaneously. "I want to give you a massage, Miss. Don't you look tired and weary?" Zion asked as he massaged my shoulders with both hands. "Alright, stop there. It's better for you to go to your room now. I want to be massaged by Angel, the mute woman. What's the name of that young woman?" I asked, shifting my attention. "Her name is Angel. She is currently downstairs, waiting for your decision to be hired by the company," Zion explained, stepping back a bit. "Call her here. I will make her my personal driver and assistant," I commanded Zion. Shortly after, the woman I knew from yesterday appeared with her kindness. She came with a bright smile, even though she communicated through gestures. "Alright, Angel. You will be my driver and personal assistant. So, tonight you will accompany me to my client's birthday party." I took out a white piece of paper with black ink, which was Angel's employment contract with me. I signed the employment contract, and Angel signed it last. After everything was done, Angel drove me back to Lilac's father's mansion, where my four twin children were already waiting. On that night... At exactly 7 PM, Angel, Zion, and I were already in a large building for a birthday event held at a prestigious hotel in Albany. I entered the room followed by Angel, who looked a bit shy. "Hello, Miss Amara! Nice to meet you," greeted Arthur as he approached me with a charming smile. I simply nodded in response. Arthur looked familiar as I gazed at his eyebrows, reminding me of someone I despised. As we chatted, Arthur pulled me and introduced me to some of his colleagues in the company. Being new in town and in the business world, many were surprised to learn that I was the heir to Lilac Company. One of Arthur's colleagues caught me off guard, giving me a sly smile. "Amara, how have you been?" asked Uncle Sam, my father's brother who forcibly took away Matthias' wealth. "I've been very well, Mr. Samuel. That's why I can meet you in person today!" I replied with a firm tone and elegant response. Uncle Samuel's expression seemed to change, and he went to meet other guests. That night, many guests were present, including someone I never expected. Arthur introduced me to someone. "Hi, Brother. Let me introduce you to my new client!" Arthur said as he introduced me to the person he called "brother." "Nice to meet you!" I greeted, extending my hand.
