Marco's POV
Today, I was struck with a dilemma. My heart was in turmoil with strange emotions that attacked the depths of my heart.
"Quick, open up!" I shouted as I knocked on the hotel room door.
The occupant of the hotel room seemed unresponsive, making me wait even longer.
Willie stepped forward and took over the task of knocking on the door of Mawar Hotel, a simple and ordinary hotel.
"Please open the door, there's an important matter that needs to be discussed," Willie called out, trying to persuade the occupant of the room to open the door.
I couldn't wait to hear any information about Omega, who once adorned my nights. I paced back and forth in front of the door, occasionally rubbing my face with impatience.
"Break down the door!" I commanded my companion, Beta.
Willie took a few steps back, then prepared to throw his body against the door.
"What do you need?" asked a young man who opened the door from inside the room.
I looked at the young man from head to toe, and with my sense of smell, I knew he wasn't a werewolf, but just an ordinary human.
"Where is Amara?" I asked, snapping at him with a harsh tone.
"There's no one inside the room, you can see for yourself the condition inside," the man explained, pointing to the interior of the room.
Willie and I entered the room, surveying the surroundings with sharp eyes. There were no signs of human presence in the room. We went back out to meet the young man who was the occupant of the room.
"If I find out that you're hiding the woman I'm looking for, you will face the consequences!" I warned, pointing at the face of the young man who seemed to be around the same age as me.
The man remained calm and composed, making it difficult for me to read his mind. I couldn't penetrate the thoughts of someone who remained calm like still water.
We left the lower-middle-class hotel. It seemed unlikely for Amara to stay in this hotel. Before I completely left the hotel, I glanced back at the hotel door, hoping to see the omega woman standing before me. I don't know why I missed her so much, but I couldn't show it in front of that arrogant and brave woman. I had to remain indifferent and ignore it.
This time, I failed to meet Amara. Perhaps the girl wasn't in this city like before.
"Willie, let's go to the restaurant now," I requested.
I sat in the back seat, gazing at the side mirror of the car. It was as if I couldn't escape from her shadow, and I almost felt crazy because every moment was consumed by thoughts of that lowly wolf.
After a few tens of minutes, the car driven by Willie stopped in the parking lot of a restaurant. I quickly got out and briskly walked into the restaurant.
"Hey Alpha Marco, how are you doing?" Valentino asked, making small talk.
My former Beta smirked, with a slight lift of his upper lip.
"Oh, relax, esteemed Alpha. I won't waste your time," he explained.
Valentino took out his phone from his jacket pocket. He then smiled sourly as he scrolled through his phone screen.
Shortly after, my former Beta showed something on the phone screen.
I saw a girl tied to a wooden chair. And as I focused my gaze, it turned out to be Amara Zelmira Ludovic, the wolf woman I had been searching for for years.
Valentino, with his smug smile, seemed to be mocking me. He also showed a photo where his face was so close to the female wolf that I longed for.
"How dare you, Valentino..." I shouted and immediately snatched the phone from his hand.
I held onto the phone with all my strength, and within seconds, the phone was shattered into pieces. My hand felt hot, along with my heart burning with jealousy. I couldn't bear to see the omega girl with another man.
"Hahaha... Marco, Marco. You're jealous, but unfortunately, Amara is in my control!" his laughter echoed, making me unable to contain my anger anymore.
"Don't you dare touch her..." I warned Valentino.
I grabbed the fur jacket he was wearing, and with one thrust, I threw Valentino far into a corner of the wall.
This time, I caused a commotion for the first time, and many pairs of eyes stared at the scene.
"Sir, don't engage with him. I can assure you he won't dare to do anything!" Willie advised me, pointing for me to leave this fancy restaurant immediately.
I left and didn't look back at that damn former Beta. With a straight gaze ahead, I even ignored the many pairs of eyes that had been watching the disturbance.
I quickly got into the car, while Willie and Bryan pulled and dragged him out of the restaurant.
"Take him!" I commanded Willie.
Willie put him in the car driven by Bryan, while my former Beta drove the car I was riding alone with him.
We returned to the mansion, but before that, this time I will go to the Welray Moon Pack palace. The magnificent palace that has been passed down through generations from the Anderson family for centuries.
It didn't take long, and we arrived in front of the luxurious palace gates on the outskirts of the city, near Lovana Hill. This hill is where wolf clans have been fighting with other packs who always want to lead over the Welray Moon Pack.
As the car door opened from the outside, I stepped out and adjusted my suit. My eyes scanned every corner of the Welray Moon Pack palace.
"It's been a long time since I came back, and it seems like there haven't been any changes to this palace at all!" I said to Willie.
Willie, who has been accompanying me for the past 15 years, smiled in agreement and nodded softly.
I entered the palace, as my feet stepped back into the main hall. My sharp gaze looked intimidating.
"How are you, grandfather?" I asked. I sat on a tall and large chair made of carved wolf heads.
"Hmm... What wind has brought you back here? Do you miss your old and feeble grandfather whom you have ignored for all these years!" my grandfather mocked, not giving me a chance to breathe.
"No need for me to answer, I'm sure you already know what I've been up to!" I replied flatly.
I stared into my grandfather's eyes without hesitation, not even the slightest hint of fear towards his words.
"Oh... You're the one who always plays with women, whether they are ordinary humans or omega wolf females from any pack that you fancy. And now, you're caught up with deep feelings for a stray girl who was abandoned by the Red Moon Pack," my grandfather revealed in detail.
I was so shocked that my chest rumbled, how could my grandfather know everything about me. He even knew what was in my heart.
"Don't think too much, Marco. Have you forgotten who your grandfather is? You will not inherit all the magic and knowledge that I possess," he said, mocking me.
I turned my face aside, feeling my entire body heating up. And I stayed silent, not wanting to argue with my grandfather.
"Hahaha... Marco, why is your face turning red like that? Are you angry with your grandfather's words? The truth is, you are right, there is no purity within you. Your heart is too tainted that the only one who can inherit all my knowledge and abilities is your child, and you will face them someday!" my grandfather explained and immediately stood up from the chair, walking away without caring about me anymore.
"What does he mean? I will face them? What does my grandfather know?" I asked, also standing up and following him from behind.
"Hmm, you will find out on your own someday. And you will be defeated by your own selfishness," my grandfather said and disappeared from my sight.
"Ah, my grandfather just knows how to make me furious!" I shouted, suppressing the raging anger in the depths of my heart.
As if my head would explode, I couldn't dwell too much on this. Maybe my grandfather was just talking nonsense.
I stepped out of the palace, where Willie and Bryan were already waiting outside.
"Have you brought that damn stray to jail?" I asked Willie.
"Yes, sir. You don't need to worry!" Willie replied.
I returned to the mansion, it was torturous to stay in the palace for too long.
During the journey, the car driven by Willie suddenly stopped.
"Sorry, sir. I hit the car in front," Willie said, looking at me with fear.
"You..." My words stopped.
Shortly after, the owner of the other car approached our car and tapped on the side window.
"Get out quickly!" they shouted loudly.
I opened the door and stepped out of the car, a woman looked at me expressionlessly. So flat that it was the first time a woman wasn't mesmerized by my handsomeness.
"You need to compensate, how can't you see with the red light in front?" she scolded me, pointing towards the traffic light at the intersection.
And it was true, the traffic light was red.
I don't know why, but I just stood there silently, my heart pounding wildly as a strange feeling suddenly washed over me.
"Why does this woman feel so special in my eyes? I was almost captivated by her.
I couldn't help but gaze at her from head to toe. This young woman reminded me of someone I was searching for, but her appearance was so different. She was so feminine and mature, her charisma seemed to hypnotize me.
"Are you done talking?" I asked as I grabbed her hand and pulled her close to my chest.
I looked into her beautiful eyes, those bluish-brown eyes pierced through the depths of my heart.
"Let go!" she protested.
But instead, I wrapped my left arm around her waist. I leaned in closer to her, our faces so close that there were only a few centimeters apart.
"You're beautiful!" I blurted out spontaneously. My voice was hoarse and heavy, so she might not have heard it clearly.
"Aww..." I groaned.
