“Is this going to hurt?” Maya asked as Cassie began drawing a circle around her.
Cassie laughed. “No,” she answered. “The blood I took was the most painful part.”
“What blood?” Maya questioned.
“Exactly,” Cassie smirked.
“I don’t know if that’s terrifying or impressive,” Maya remarked. She looked at Cillian and Liam who were outside of the circle, but watching Cassie closely. She knew that Ash, Dermon, Seamus, and a few others were at the front of the shop waiting for answers as well. She felt like if nothing came from this she’d be disappointing a whole bunch of people.
“Be impressed. No one is usually impressed by what I do here,” Cassie said as she finished the circle.
