Chapter 24: A Mysterious Message

As Adina and Ethan were leaving the art exhibition, Adina noticed a strange message on her phone. It was an anonymous text, and all it said was: "Be careful around Sophie." Adina's heart skipped a beat as she showed the message to Ethan.

"What do you think it means?" Ethan asked, his brow furrowed with concern. Adina shook her head. "I don't know, but it's definitely making me nervous." Ethan put his arm around her. "Let's not jump to conclusions. Maybe it's just a prank."

But Adina couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off. She started to wonder if Sophie was hiding something else, something even more sinister. As they walked back to their hotel, Adina's mind was racing with possibilities.

When they arrived at the hotel, Adina decided to do some more digging on Sophie. She started searching online for any information about Sophie's past, and what she found shocked her. There were rumors about Sophie's involvement in some shady dealings, and some people were even accusing her of being a con artist.

"I think we need to take a step back and reevaluate our relationship," Adina said, trying to sound calm. Sophie's eyes narrowed. "What are you talking about? I've done nothing wrong."

Adina hesitated, unsure of how to proceed. She didn't want to accuse Sophie without solid evidence, but she couldn't ignore the rumors either. "I just need some time to think," Adina said finally. Sophie nodded, but Adina could see the anger simmering beneath the surface.
