As they walked to her desk, Adina's mind was a jumble of emotions. She couldn't believe Ethan had suggested a hike together. Was it a date? Was he interested in her? She felt a flutter in her chest at the thought.
When they reached her desk, Ethan turned to her. "I'll send you an email with some dates and times for the hike," he said, his voice casual. "Let me know what works for you."
Adina nodded, trying to play it cool. "Sounds good," she replied, her voice neutral.
As Ethan walked away, Adina felt a wave of confusion wash over her. What was going on? Was Ethan interested in her, or was she just reading too much into it? She didn't know how to react.
The rest of the day was a blur as Adina's mind wandered back to Ethan's suggestion. She couldn't concentrate on her work, and her colleagues noticed her distraction.
At lunchtime, Adina's coworker, Rachel, approached her. "Hey, what's going on?" Rachel asked, her voice concerned. "You seem a million miles away."
Adina hesitated, unsure how to share her thoughts. But Rachel's kind expression put her at ease. "It's just Ethan," Adina said, her voice barely above a whisper. "He suggested a hike together, and I'm not sure what to make of it."
Rachel's eyes widened. "That's interesting," she said, her voice filled with intrigue. "Do you think he's interested in you?"
Adina shrugged. "I don't know. Maybe? I feel so confused."
Rachel nodded thoughtfully. "Well, maybe you should take a chance and see where things go. You never know what might happen."
Adina considered Rachel's words. Maybe she was overthinking things. Maybe she should just enjoy the moment and see what developed.
As the day drew to a close, Adina felt a sense of anticipation. She couldn't wait to see Ethan's email and respond. She had a feeling that her life was about to change in ways she couldn't imagine.
