Nikki's P.O.V
"You stupid b***h, watch where you're going!" screamed the pack slut. They usually come to the pack stables just to push and throw things at me. I guess they are bored with their lives, so they come to me for some entertainment.
I stand up of the stable floor and glare at her, she just smirked at me. "What?, I thought that you are used to being on the floor. You Skank". She said with her horrific nasal voice. I sigh and go back to work. That is one of the pack sluts; I'm not sure what her name is Louise or something.
She is the typical definition of the word slut. Her hair is long and severely bleached; her eyes are blue. She doesn’t have a single curve on her body, I mean it’s like she is a brick. Flat-chested and a flat ass. She is scarcely wearing any clothes just a tube top that is way too small, a mini skirt halfway up her non-existent ass and way too much make-up.
I sigh "Look, Louise; I have work to do. But unless you want to muck out the stalls and change horseshoes all day, deliver a foal and ruin your outfit, then I suggest you leave." At this point, I just want her to leave. But I was not so lucky as she storms towards me.
"Do you think an outsider like you can honestly give me orders—fat chance of that," she said as if I offended her, but I merely pointed out the obvious. When she seen that I was nowhere near afraid of her as she thought I was, she raised her hand to slap me.
But before she could even get the chance, the horse that I'm training reared and kicked her into a pile of manure that I had put at the door. Most people would have mass trauma if a horse kicked them, but not us we have abilities as we are werewolves, we have rapid healing powers, strength, speed, sharp eyesight and hearing. Yes, we also shift into wolves.
Louise got up and screamed. I thought my eardrum was going to explode. She was deafening " You b***h!, look at me. I stink, and my outfit ruined because of your stupid f*****g horse. You are seriously going to pay for this!" with that, she ran away to the pack house.
Finally, I can get to work. I walk towards the shelf and grab a saddle and reigns. I place them on the new horse that I have to train for the new Alpha. I have never met him due to what Louise said; I'm an outsider. I was not born into this pack. I left my pack back in Texas. My father moved us up here to the Newmoon pack up in Alaska after my mother died.
The Newmoon Pack is known to take in new members, but it is infamous for how ruthless it can be to mutts. Mutts are werewolves that refuse to live under the control of the Alpha. They try to take over the pack many times. So they are hunted, they can never have a home. Mutts are very sadistic and cruel. They don't care if you are a woman or child, they kill and torture with out hesitation.
The Newmoon Pack have the best pack warriors in all of Alaska.
The main job for the pack warriors is to defend their territory of the Pack. They also kill any Mutts on sight.
But for some reason, they treat me differently than any other wolves that they have taken in.
They are cold, vicious, abusive, and absolute assholes.
Maybe it has something to do with how I look.
I mean, I have long f*****g CRIMSON hair and golden eyes. I haven't died my hair crimson it is natural. Don't ask me why because even I don't know myself.
I take the new horse out of the stable and see what I'm working with. The horse isn’t too bad, but it seems he has a temper. I'll have to ride him and see how bad his temper is.
I approach him, and he seems to let me get close. I then proceed to mount him, so far so good. Now let's see what he's like while on a ride. I grab the reigns and urge him to move.
Then we were off, he's fast, but he tries to take control, we have to work on that. We zip through the woods, jump over fallen trees until we came to a clearing. There we found a river with a beautiful waterfall. It seemed so peaceful. The water was crystal clear. All around the waterfall was vines and beautiful white flowers. I dismounted the horse, took his reigns and lead him to the river for a drink.
He seems to be reluctant to trust anyone, and less so to let them take control. All I can think of in that moment is what the hell did the previous owners do to you?
I was distracted by my thoughts; I didn't notice that someone had come up behind me until I heard someone screech my name. "NIKKI!" I whipped round to face the voice.
But I knew all too well who it was.
