Logan P.O.V
I left Alpha's office in a rage. How can he be alpha, if he can't even find one stupid slut? I was about to storm down the hallway when I noticed the Beta and Gamma walking into the alpha's office. I caught a whiff of them, I almost gagged. They smelt as though they stood under a cow and just let it s**t all over them.
Refusing to acknowledge the urge to throw up, I crept towards the alpha's office, pressed my ear to the door just to hear if they found that worthless daughter of mine.
From what I hear, her scent had changed drastically. She left the pack, so it makes sense that her scent changed but not that quickly. Something's not right. Another male's scent was found as well as her's, Hm so she's a bigger slut than I thought. But the smell is human?
But why is Roman so interested in my daughter? I snapped out of my thoughts when I heard movement heading towards the door. s**t, I've got to move.
Roman P.O.V
Sitting at my desk, I booted up my computer and searched for anything related to what that bastard said to me. "Ask her about what happened to Sebastian". But so far, nothing. What the hell did he put her through? Nikki, where are you?
I need to find her, something about her scent changing faster than it should that bothers me.
I need to talk to the pack elder; maybe they can tell me what's going on with her.
I pull out my cell and dial Mark " Mark, are you done with your shower?"
"Yes, Alpha, What do you need me to do?"
"I need you to bring me the elder; there are questions I need answered."
"Right away, Alpha." I hung up the call.

"Good afternoon, Alpha, How may I help you today?"
"You could answer a few questions that I have."
"Of course. What do you wish to know?"
" My mate, she has left the pack and became a mutt, but her scent changed faster than it should have, why?"
"Hmm? Her scent changed that much? So soon? Alpha I'm sorry, but I have not heard of such a thing before. But I will consult the ancient scrolls and inform you as soon as I know something. Good day alpha."
"Thank you, Elder. Good day."
Nikki's P.O.V
After leaving Doc's place, Hanzo had taken me back to his home and told me that I would be taking his bedroom. I refused to accept this. I told him that I would be comfortable with a pillow and blanket on the living room floor. But he would not let me sleep on the floor. After what felt like hours of bickering back and forth, I gave in. Hanzo is so stubborn, and arguing is futile. I walked into his bedroom, and it's a lot barer than I expected. The walls were painted an off white colour; there was a small chest of drawers in the corner of the room, a large window on the far wall with a little old wooden desk that had seen better days just underneath the window, A single futon in the middle of the room.
"Hanzo, I'm worried."
"Why? the Doc said you and the baby were fine.'
"No, it's not that. I'm worried that my mate will find me. He doesn't know about the baby, and I don't know what he'll do if he finds out that I knew and didn't tell him about it. Plus there's the fact that I left the pack."
"Whoa, Nikki take a breath." I didn't realise that I was hyperventilating until Hanzo placed his hands on my shoulders. I calmed myself down slowly, taking deep breaths whilelooking into Hanzo's piercing blue eyes. A wave of comfort and warmth came over me. We were silent for a while, then Hanzo broke the silence.
"Nikki, I won't let anyone hurt you. I WILL protect you and this child as if you two were my own, this I swear to you. Now I will go and get Lindo to bring you something to eat, while I go and pick up your clothes...Okay?"
I nodded "Nikki I'll be back soon, get some rest."
With that he left, I dropped to my knee's and his words kept ringing in my head "I WILL protect you and this child as if you two were my own, this I swear to you." What did he mean by that. It is very seet but I don't know what this feeling is when I looked into his eyes just then. I need to sleep I'm exhausted. I crawled over to the futon and got under the covers.
I look down at my stomach and place my hand on it. "It's okay little one, I'll be here for you always."
