Chapter Two

Nikki P.O.V

"I told you, You would pay for what happened. Now I have come to collect." I groan. It was Louise and her minions with a few pack warriors behind her. No doubt that they were sleeping with her. Whatever she wants, it's not going to end well for me, I thought.

"What are you talking about." At this point, I'm so over this bullshit. So what her outfit was tacky anyway.

The horse did her a favor. Well not that I'd tell her that, it would make things worse.

"You know exactly what I'm talking about. That happened to be my favorite outfit, and now it's ruined because of you and your stupid horse," she yelled and pointed to the horse beside me.

Wait my horse? She does know who this horse belongs to. Right?

"Look, Louise, I did tell you to leave. I have more important things to do than worrying about your outfit. As for this horse he belo-"

Before I could finish, I felt my cheek burn.

It took me a second to realise what just happened.

She had one of the pack warriors punch me and knocked me to the ground.

I spat out blood that was in my mouth. Damn, I was not prepared for that. The next thing I hear is the horse cry in fear.

Startled I looked at the horse another pack warrior was helping Louise on to him.

"Get down!," I yelled

I stood up and was about to run over to them.

To which I was greeted with a punch to the gut that knocked me to the ground, again. The searing pain in my head as it smacked hard off the ground was unbearable.

I forced myself to get up, managed to run over to them and yell at Louise

"Louise; he is not trained yet. He has a temper and will seriously freak the f**k out. You will get hurt. Now GET DOWN!."

She scoffed "You think I'm going to listen to you.

I'm taking this horse as compensation for what happened to my outfit."

Oh God, I could see that the horse was going to lose it. I tried to get her down before the horse took off.

But she just kicked me back on to the ground, and I hit my head again.

Okay, seriously I'm getting sick of being punched and kicked. With that, the horse charged into the woods. s**t, I doubt she can even ride let alone control him.

Louise screamed, "Stop you f*****g Stupid horse." Is that all she can say about horses seems her vocabulary is very limited.

I have to act fast using my wolf speed I race to the stables and saddle up on another horse who happened to be my horse, Ash. Ash is as the name suggests An ash colour not very original I know. He is one of the most challenging horses I have ever trained.

When I went to buy him, Ash was weak, Abused, malnourished and didn't trust any human. He was really at deaths door. I guess that is why I chose him. He reminded me of myself. Unwanted, abused and untrusting.

I rescued him, and it took a very long time to get him to trust me. I nursed him back to health, and during the healing process, we formed a bond that no one can break.

When he was healthy enough, we went for a ride, and I discovered that he was the fastest horse in the pack stables.

He is also very protective of me and me of him.

I trust him to do what needs to be done. Like right now he is the only one fast enough to catch up with Louise and the new horse.

We speed out of the stables and into the woods. Ash dodges trees and heads to the clearing where Louise and the new horse took off from.

I asked the minions and the pack warriors which way she went. Ash and I took off in the direction of the Pack house. s**t! Thanks to Louise, this is going to land me in so much trouble.

Ash is now running at full speed, and it's not long before we catch up to Louise. She is screaming and cussing at the horse to stop.

But to no avail, the horse is still at full speed heading towards the Pack house with Louise clinging for dear life and being jostled about like a rag doll.

"Ash!" I yell to get his attention;

he grunts to let me know he is listening. "Get me beside them and keep steady while I get Louise off the horse." He grunts telling me he understands. Ash lines up alongside the new horse.

"Louise, Jump!" I yell at her.

"Are you f*****g crazy, no way!"

"Look if you don't, I won't be able to stop him. He is heading straight for the Pack house." I tell her, she ignores me. I'm getting annoyed now.

"Do you know who this horse belongs to?!" I ask her hopefully once she finds out she will do as I say.

"No and I don't f*****g care, get me off this thing NOW!" She demands.

"He belongs to the ALPHA!" I tell her, and her face turns white. Now she realises what she has just done.

Whose horse she just stole and understood the consequences of doing this.

"Now that you know JUMP!" She is just looking me still in shock.

Shit, we are at the pack house. Everyone is looking at us, and the horse shows no signs of stopping. Even the Beta and the Gamma are watching. But who is that beside them.

A very tall, handsome, muscular man, Built like a tank and he is looking straight at me. Great now, I am in trouble. I'm pulled from my thoughts by a scream, s**t women and children are running in terror.

I don't have a choice now. "Louise! Move back on the saddle so I can get on okay?. I'll try to stop the horse before someone gets hurt!."

She does what I have instructed her to do and moves back on the saddle enough for me to get on.

I look at Ash, and he knows what I'm about to do. So he moves closer to the horse and holds steady. I carefully manage to stand up on my saddle with my reigns in my hands.

Everyone is at a safe distance and is watching me. No pressure. I slowly turn and face the saddle of the horse.

I take a deep breath, I jump and land on the saddle. I took the reigns and maneuvered the horse away from the people. With the reigns in my hands I try to get the horse to stop, but now he is rearing and kicking his legs. CRAP! He is not going to calm down anytime soon.

I grab Louise’s arm from behind me and throw her clear from the horse. She tumbled as she landed.

I have to ride him out as he is bucking all over the place. I try to regain control of him. I redirect his energy then show him that I’m in charge. Slowly he calms down to a stop.

I breathe a sigh of relief and then I hear cheers from the people who have been watching the whole scene unfold.

I dismounted the horse and walk over to help the now shaken Louise to her feet. Her minions ran over to her and whisked her away.

Oh please, she caused that to herself. Ash comes trotting up beside me a nuzzles his face against mine. I smile then turn to the horse to check him for injuries; he seems fine. Thank goddess. I was about to mount Ash when "Stop!" I hear the Beta Yell.

"What the hell was that about!?" He was seething, great thanks, Louise. I face him "Sir, I can explain everything." I tell him hoping that he will give me a chance to speak.

To my surprise he does.

"Well, I'm waiting." He said impatiently.

"Well, you see sir I was training this horse for the new Alpha. So I was taking him out for a ride to access what I was working with.

We stopped at the clearing by the river, so he could have a drink.

Then Louise, her friends and two of your pack warriors had thought it was a good idea, to try and take the Alpha's horse.

I tried to warn them of the dangers of this as he is wild, has a temper and doesn't trust people yet. But they dismissed my warning and proceeded to mount him." I tell him.

"Go on," he told me.

"The horse then took off and was out of control with Louise in tow. I then got my horse Ash and raced after them and well the rest of it you have seen, Sir."

The beta is a terrifying man; I think his name is Lucas; he is 6ft tall, muscular build, black hair and brown eyes. He is not too fond of me but does tolerate me more than anyone else in the pack.

He doesn't hit me or degrade me but takes the time to listen to me.

But best of all he is aware of all Louise's antics, and he can't stand her. It's a good thing that they installed cameras in the woods, especially with audio.

This is so they can track and patrol any mutts in the area. Louise has yet to realise that she has been caught on tape.

Lucas takes in the information I have just given him for a few moments and says.

" Because it's the new Alphas horse and you never seem to cause any trouble before.

I will look into this matter with the cameras that are stationed in that area of the woods."

I feel relieved, Thank goddess. He is taking me seriously.

"For now take the horses back to the stables." He commands.

"Yes sir," I reply

I look over at Louise, and she is glaring at me, but I can see that she is terrified because she knows that the Beta Lucas is going to see her on tape stealing the Alphas horse.

A smile creeps onto my face and I head for the stables.
