I see Eva leave the room and my eyes follow her. I start to walk in her direction, but Joshua grabs my arm.
"Where are you going?"
"To talk to your mother." He smiles and nods. I discreetly leave the cake on the table and go after Eva. I see the door to Eiden's office open and see Eva sitting on the sofa where Joshua and I were a little while ago.
"Eva?" she takes her hands off her face and looks at me, her gaze seems lost. " Are you okay?"
