Cassandra Tate reached to push the button to open her garage, then eased her SUV to a near-stall as the door lifted. Her husband for the past six months didn’t use the double-garage closest to the house, but the third stall way down on the end, and as Cass glanced to her left, she didn’t see Harrison’s truck. She hadn’t really expected to, but disappointment still cut through her. She came to a stop and put her vehicle in park, and before she’d gotten out, the back of the SUV started to raise.
