Captured

A flash of light hit my palm and I saw Gidon raise his hand up. More people emerged from the portal behind him and I knew what they were going to do. I looked at Gidon and he sneered at me, "As a warrior of the Guardian's, you have broken the oath with which you have sworn yourself to,"  an angry voice boomed loudly and I held my ground. I did not regret my choice and I would make sure they knew of that. "I have done no such thing. We are destined to protect the one thing that matters to us until our very last breath. That is the choice I have made." I held my sword, beams of light circling around it, and saw the Guardian's look at me with the utmost of hatred. A hiss escaped the serpent next to me and all of a sudden, we were surrounded by a large nest of snakes. I guess being a leader has its advantages after all. A burn seared my foot and I felt the sudden rush of wind that hit my bare ankle. I looked down and saw that the boots that covered my ankle now had a burned hole through them. I looked up and saw that Gidon had a hard glare aimed at me, his palm was raised meaning that he had been the one who sent the flash at me. I sent a bolt of light in the form of lightning and watched as it hit close to where the Guardians were. This had resulted in a blinding flash that illuminated the hallway. I took advantage of the light and beckoned to the serpent next to me to get away. Yellow dilated eyes gazed at me and I saw the serpent lower itself and slither away from the rest of the group. Now it's my turn to get out of here. I looked around my surroundings and was confused. Hopefully, I could find a way out of here without causing anything more than what was already happening. The light was still beaming so I used that as my cover while I headed off into the direction that the serpent had gone to. Behind me, I could see some of the snakes had already begun attacking while some of them had already begun to slither away from the commotion. The only thing I could think of was how I would be able to escape the wrath of my former mentor-turned-enemy. All because of the "mortal" that I was sworn to protect.  I had no option but to run in the direction of the snakes. The thing was, I had no idea where I was or where I was going. Stepping over the small reptiles under my boots, I managed to round the corner and bump into something. I lost my footing and fell backwards, catching myself before I sat on the retreating snakes still behind me. I looked up and saw that there was a ball of light forming in the hall. The snakes under me recoiled from the light and began retreating. Some of them, however, were being pulled into the ball. I could feel the gravitational pull and automatically backed up, stepping on a snake's tail. I turned and saw the snake that my apparent "mortal" had turned into. It was staring at me, almost intrigued. I stared back, feeling no awkwardness but the sudden chaos in the hallway seemed to leave and there was nothing but the large reptile in front of me. Its eyes were memorizing, golden-hued pupils that seemed to stare right into my soul. I could almost get lost in them from the way they seemed to pull me closer and closer until nothing else in the space around me seemed visible. Those golden orbs seemed to guide me to a place where I had no sense as to where I was going or where I was already at. All of a sudden, I was back at the club, sitting in my seat and looking down as I had done before. The bartender seemed to not notice me but was drying a glass with a towel, whistling all the while. Hands brushed against the exposed part of my neck where my hair allowed access pulling me out of inspecting the scenery around me. A shudder brought my limbs to reality and I was finally able to move from what I believed to b a paralyzed position. I turned and saw the eyes once more, but this time they were connected to the same body I had seen the snake take shape as. His hands reached for me and I was aware of the instinct to pull away. But those eyes had my attention once more and it seemed like my body was not willing to comply. Warmth pressed against my cold skin and I welcomed it. I was aware of hands going through my hair until I heard a low and silky voice whispering softly in my ear, brushing away the hair that rested just around it. "Mne zhal', moya lyubov'." Although I had no idea what those words meant, they seemed to pull at my mind somewhere, and suddenly, I was falling into a state that caught me at the last second. I opened my eyes, expecting to see myself back at where I thought I was but I didn't recognize where I was. A beep echoed in my ear and I jumped, startled by the sudden noise. I felt something cold on my ear; tracing it to the other ear in a thick line of something that felt like metal. Confused, I attempted to pull it off but all it did was send a jolt into my head. It hurt a lot; making me swear under my breath in a mixture of curses. Once again, I looked around the room, seeing that I was back home. Back where my species lived in the mountains. Literally, in the mountains. You would think we lived in the clouds or perhaps somewhere more secretive, but no. We lived in the most obvious place. Of course, here and there we had a traveler or two stumble upon us but we persuaded them that we were just exploring. The walls were dark, coated with what looked like a melted version of coal. I was on the floor, resting on nothing but cold rock. The air around me was cold, my wings were...stuck? I turned around to look at them and they were encased in something that smelled like pure metal. Perhaps something like liquid metal. I tried to free them but somehow they were almost glued together. I stood, finally getting an option to gain a better insight on my surroundings. Where am I? I asked myself. On one side of the bare wall in which I was stuck inside, there was a knob. Walking over to it, I knew it was probably already locked but when I turned the knob, the door cracked ajar. Peeking through the small slit made by it, I saw...just more white. It seemed blacking out was now a common thing for me since now I was back in captivity. Or something close to it since I was back home but sort of trapped. You would think I'd try to leave but I knew better then that. If I tried to escape, anyone who found me were given permission to kill the prisoner right then and there. I knew this because I had been also tasked with it during my training with the Angels. About an hour later into my confinement, I sat up in my bed when I heard the sound of the doorknob turning. A hand peaked through, holding a plate of food, and setting it carefully on the ground. I got up and moved over just as the door closed and picked up the plate, a mixture of fruit and meat along with a sweet raspberry and blueberry tart. Weirdly, there was only one other person who knew that was my fav~ My thoughts were interrupted when all of a sudden, the door opened once more and in walked Gidon.
