“I think it’s time you go son.” My father said acid lacing his words. Ferdi didn’t dare go against my father, with one last look towards me he left. So many things were said with that expression, his apology, his guilt, he want for me, all the things I would no longer acknowledge. He needed to know we were done. I was put on bed rest for a week, I was still to take it easy after that and I was not to return to school for the next month at least. Having numerous concusions does that to a person. The doctor told me I was lucky it wasn’t months that I would be out. I spent most of my days sleeping, while Mark was at school. After he would come by and we would hang out. We could watch television or play video games because they both gave me headaches. Reading was another headache on its own
