Louise’s POV
The Beta wolf Spiro leads us immediately to the Royal apartment, which is blocked by guards. Creepy guards, who look at me suspiciously. It makes me feel apprehensive about what I know awaits me behind those closed doors. A future which was not of my choice!
I start to get a little panicked about meeting my elderly ‘new’ mate. I can’t believe I’m actually going to allow some unknown wolf old enough to be my own grandfather to impregnate me! And then an even worse thought occurred to me. What will happen to me if the king of Greece is unable to impregnate me, or what if he dies before I get pregnant? It would have all been for nothing! What a depressing thought.
