This is stupid, I think to myself after king Dougy and his wolves shoved me into an empty prison cell. Why am I the only one being punished? And all for f*****g one of my father’s whores! That’s what they’re here for, right? So why shouldn’t I enjoy myself while I’m down here anyway doing that stupid favor for uncle Alfie that da asked me to do.
Thank the goddess that the dragon left, though. That’s some scary s**t what the dragon did to those castle guards! Their screams as they were roasted alive sounded like they were announcing their arrival in hell!
That thought makes me shiver, even though it’s much warmer down here right now than it usually is at this time of year. Which is not a pleasant thought, either.
