Lily came running to Avery in the backyard where she was busy taking care of the dying roses and plants.

"Avery, Tisha arrived just now. As you're the wife of his majesty you're required to welcome her with him. Your majesty asked for your presence in the royal court" Lily was panting hard from running all the way to here. Avery just nodded her head and they made their way back to the room. After dressing her up in her regal gown and jewelry, she was escorted to the royal court by Lily. As Avery came into Tisha's view a mischievous look danced in her eyes. Lily bowed down to her before she went over to the corner where other servants were standing. "Come here and stand next to me" seeing Avery being hesitant, Adrian ordered her calmly. She took a glance at Tisha and went over to Adrian's side. Even though Tisha was smiling gently she was burning with jealousy in her heart. "Hello, Lady Avery. I'm Tisha, I rule over the mermaid society. I apologize for my behavior last time. I hope we can get along well in future" Tisha smiled gently as she extended her hand for a handshake towards Avery. She was quite taken back by Tisha's sudden change. Wasn't she rude last time? And she didn't hear any good about her either. Then why would she be…

Avery hesitantly extended her hand and shook hands with her with a fake smile on her face. "Indeed, Princess Tisha".

They took their seats and talked a little before Tisha went to her room for some rest. Avery was tired so when the conversation was over, she was really happy. Lily came over to her and they went back to their room.

"I can't believe she was so nice" Lily closed the doors before she started talking, she didn't believe that Tisha would be so nice to Avery. Everyone including Adrian was aware of the deep affection Tisha had for Adrian. There was a time when Tisha wouldn't even hesitate to kill others just because he had talked to them. She later was punished by her father and was isolated from the rest of the world for a few years before she was finally able to handle herself.

Lily has been here for a long time, she has witnessed Tisha before so she was skeptical.

Avery understood Lily's worry very well "Don't worry, Lily. I'll be careful" she assured Lily with a smile, she was really grateful to have Lily by her side. Since Avery was the Lady of the kingdom, she was required to look over the preparations. She went to the kitchen for an inspection before she went back to rest. At dinner time, everyone was gathered around the table. The servants stood in a row to serve them whereas Adrian , Avery and Tisha were served food. They talked about some work matters and other issues before they dug in their food. Adrian moaned as he chewed on the food. "It's really delicious, it's different from before. Who cooked it?" He questioned as he continued on his food. "Lady Avery helped us with food in the kitchen today, Your Majesty," one of the servants spoke. Adrian took a glance at her and nodded his head. He was about to take another bite before a shrill scream rang in the dining hall.
