"As I told you, things are not so simple here and I'll help you only if you agree to my terms. " He mentioned seriously as Avery just read through the contract with caution. "You want me to not tell anyone about this place and any activities related to Etheris" Avery confirmed in an almost inaudible whisper. It seemed more like a statement instead of a question though. She stared into his jade green eyes as he nodded his head. No wonder this place was unheard of. "My life would be in jeopardy if I tell anyone…." She trailed off before continuing "you'll kill me". He opened his lips to say something but sealed them again before nodding as he added "If it comes to that".

"Don't worry, you're safe as long as your lips are sealed, you'll marry me, I'll help you find your siblings and after a duration of 100 Days you'll be free to go back home safe and sound" he assured her. She didn't have a choice but to sign the contract. "I'll need you to put your fingerprint on it with your blood" Adrian informed her. Her eyes were as wide as saucers, "Since, our government is different, this blood print would make sure you won't back away from your words" He tol

explained to her as he took out a dagger from the lower drawer of his study and passed it to her. Avery took the dagger and cut her thumb and placed it on the paper. She didn't want to back away anyways. It didn't matter to her if it was blood or water or ink.

He took the contract and it vanished in thin air as soon as held it in his hands. "Wh…what was th…at?" She thought she had hallucinated but he smirked devilishly as he took her injured palm in his hand and suddenly it didn't hurt anymore. She looked at it, unable to form words. "How d..id..you?" She was still in shock.

"I'll get you familiar with here" he whispered seductively as he held her hand and pulled her to him and down to the staircase.

They had to walk for a while before they reached a busy place. It was bustling with people and something strange…fire?

"This is the kingdom of Etheris ruled by The Dragon King, Adrian Anderson, I and my people are shapeshifters, we're dragons" he informed her calmly as he looked over the happy face of his people. Avery looked at him as she burst out laughing. "Hahaha…You know what? I'm also a mermaid queen" she laughed so loudly that even passersby started looking at them. They bowed down to Adrian but gave a skeptical look to Avery. This woman looked down on Adrian and made fun of him, how dare she? "I know Tisha too" he coldly sneered as he spoke. "Who is she now?" Avery was confused.

"She's the queen mermaid" he c****d an eyebrow at her indifferently. Avery suddenly recalled the various incidents that had been happening since she arrived, weird engravings, servants, kings, magically curing her wound and just now she realized, her injuries? They…They didn't hurt anymore, she looked over her body and jumped twice..it didn't hurt..she was perfectly fine…does it mean? Could he actually be? A Dragon?
