“You should have asked for help from a dog then. Why did you come to me?” Adrian asked sarcastically as he went over to his bed and sat down. He didn't notice the grim expression of the woman at the mention of help.. “Don't just stand there, come and pick your towel from my bed” he continued rudely before picking up his tablet for work.
A tear escaped Avery's eyes, while staring blankly at the floor. “I was helpless here, otherwise I would never have asked for help from someone like you!” she said it through gritted teeth and teary eyes. Adrian looked up from his laptop towards her face and realized that he had unknowingly hurt her feelings.
