Chapter 10
"Like what you see huh?" His eyebrow arched while he teased her, a playful smirk dancing on his face. "I was not staring" she said firmly as her eyes looked away from him.
"I didn't say you were staring" Adrian scanned her face.
"Cat got your tongue?" Why does it feel nice to mess with this woman he wondered. He was strangely unaware but it felt good seeing her flustered. She just bit her lips and kept on looking away. She wasn't going to pay anymore attention to him. He was too self obsessed. After her ignoring him so visibly, he just decided to not speak anymore.
The room was packed with people from different places. All dressed in traditional attires of different kinds, one could tell where they came from looking at it. Her eyes glanced over a girl covered in a blue skinny satin gown, her jewelry was made up of pearls and it looked as if her scales were emerging from her fingertips up to her forearm. She was beautiful yet looked so dangerous, she must be from the mermaid world Avery guessed. She looked over the royal palace quickly before they were asked to take vows. They quickly took their vows, it was almost the same as any other wedding.
"Do you take His Majesty, King of Dragon Empire of Etheris Adrian Anderson as your soulmate in health and sickness, rich or poor?" The priest asked carefully.
The woman even though knew that it was just a fake marriage was in a daze, it was her first marriage after all. She was hesitant.
