I stand there, the tension between us thick and suffocating. “Alston will be home soon. He’ll help me,” I say, my voice steady but firm as I go to move around him towards the entrance to my apartment entrance. Sirius’s eyes narrowed, a rebellious spark flickering within them as he steps in my way. “I said you have two choices: be taken upstairs or wait with me until Alston returns.
