Cat's POV
Jack’s face paled in fear and pain, as the big bully suddenly became nothing but a whimpering pup in Luka’s strong grip.
“If I ever see you again,” Luka warned. “I’ll rip you to shreds!”
He showed him away and it took Jack a second or two to right himself. Jack looked like the living dead, as he nervously glanced between me and Luka, before spinning on his heel and ran away, clutching his bleeding hand close to his chest.
I watched him disappear between the people mingling around the mall. I still couldn’t believe what just happened. Hell, I wish I could laugh at the sight of seeing my brother run away with his tail between his legs. But I couldn’t even muster up a grin.
